Jeremiah is a difficult book to read because you can feel the pain and grief he was experiencing as the people he loved faced the judgment he spent so many years warning them about. Despite all the painful emotions in this book, it surprisingly is also filled with glimmers of hope.

Isaiah lived during a time of political turmoil.  His book is filled with incredible details of destruction and judgment, but also hopeful expectation of God’s future deliverance.

If you have been following along for the entire Coming to Life series, then you have studied the books of the law, the historical books, and the wisdom literature. We are ready to dig into the next, and final section of the Old Testament, which is the books of the prophets.
