Like the book of Ezra, the book of Nehemiah covers the historical events which took place immediately following the Israelites release from exile. Unlike the book of Ezra, it will focus on the third wave of people traveling to Jerusalem and Nehemiah’s desire to rebuild the city walls.

We are still learning the history of Israel, but we are going to move forward several years.  This book will focus on the Israelites return to Jerusalem after the exile and will describe some of the challenges they faced.

Watch this video to discover how Ezra reminds the Israelites of all they’ve been rescued from, points them towards examples they had in good kings, and sets the stage for the best King of all, Jesus.

You may think the books of Chronicles are basically the same as the books of Kings, but that is not the case. While there are some similarities, there are many more differences including the date written, the author, the perspective, and the purpose.

More kings, the further decline of the kingdoms, and captivity.  A lot happens in the book of 2nd Kings.

Today we will continue the story of Israel’s first kings and watch how God blesses His faithful servants. We will learn about a heavenly temple and an eternal kingdom. We will see the plan for fulfillment of every one of God’s incredible promises.

The Israelites have hit rock bottom and recognize their need for a strong leader. Today’s video will describe how they went from being tribes ruled by judges to a kingdom ruled by a king.

We are going to take a quick break from studying Israel’s history to talk about a woman named Ruth. You may recognize this book as a great love story but it has an even deeper meaning that is often overlooked.
