Song by Bree Harvey “Live Well” ©2017

I’ve been livin’ a lie, I can’t seem to breach

The world around me sees me as I preach

The covers and colors I use as disguise

My actions preys on me, that is my demise.

I pray every day for the answers I seek

What is it about me that makes me so weak?

The person outside is so strong and secure

What is it inside of me that makes me unsure?

Hopeless, distressed, my truths are disturbed

What is there to say, my conscience unnerved

No one to talk to, No one can know

Can’t let go, just lay low

Can’t think, I don’t know.

Come on Come on Come on Come on

(Rap)

Don’t look back at all that troubled strife

Today is the day of making it right.

The future is outta here, the past lost its prime

For life is well lived, a day at a time.

We grow with strong actions, followed with hope

So come out of  hiding and see the vast scope

Of living your life on a flexible plan

Today is your day, live as best as you can

The very life of life runs its brief course

Here lies realities, no room for remorse

The bliss of growth, is splendor of action,

the glory of power is pure satisfaction

FOR YESTERDAY’S DREAM is tomorrow’s vision

But today well lived makes every decision

A path of joy one step at a time

Is well on its way to a day of sunshine
