Alright, so we just wanted to announce after a lot of thought, we’ve decided to give the weekly format of the podcast a try. From here on out, until we hear or decide otherwise, we’re splitting the podcast into two parts. Yes, the podcast will (dear lord, hopefully) be shorter, for those of you who love the podcast (and thank, thank, thank you) never fear! Teeeechnically this means you’ll be getting more kchat for your buck—as we’re aiming for about an hour per episode. Since we’ll be recording it all at once, the format will go like this, part one will be what we’re watching and a short topic and then part 1.5 will be topics. Why are we doing this? Well, we’ve noticed that our episodes are getting longer with less topics. (Apparently, Cherry and I can get our chat on.) So, in this podcast we’re going to be talking about what we’re watching, mourn Junsu’s new relationship status (or maybe that’s just Stephanie), get cranky over BTS (again, probably just Stephanie), plan a new bonus episode on a movie we both watched and love and want to spoil the crap out of with friends, and then realize just how many dramas we’re both currently watching which features a dead fiancé’s heart. Hmmm…

It’s the last podcast of 2015, and we’ve got a lot to talk about! There're the results of our Kdrama Christmas watching, the disturbing, slight distance between an alpha hero and a crazy stalker, and the upcoming KCon 2016. Then we move into listener questions and comments on comments, revisiting topics like remaking dramas, recasting Lovesick, and how best to use that hard earned Kdrama cash. During the conversation we discuss an idea as to possibly changing the format of the podcast, so please weigh in on your thoughts!

In this very special episode of the Kchat Jjigae podcast we’re chock full of guests with Xe, Amber, and Jess all in attendance and eager to chat about the last and, unfortunately, final chapter of Love Sick. We discuss everything that happened in season two, compare the two seasons, dig into book versus drama, malign both Jeed and incessant product placement, and finally, discuss who we would cast in a Korean version of the show.
With lots to talk about and many of us to do the talking, this bonus episode is in 3 parts—enjoy! Also, while I don’t feel like it’s super necessary—as if you start listening to a podcast on the ending of a drama, you have to expect some spoilers—but just as a warning—we spoil the shit out of this drama!

*** heads up, we do have a bit of an issue with audio quality. sorry about that!***

Guys. An epiphany occurred on air! Stephanie remembered she likes watching Kdramas and has promised herself to watch more. Eureka! Also, we talk about the dramas we’re watching, issue a heart-to-heart to Jackson, complain about T.O.P’s Secret Message to us, chat about dramas we’re planning on watching during the holidays, and then wrap it up with a discussion of upcoming dramas.

Bonus podcast! Or more to the fact, all the extra shizzle we had to cut out of Episode 39. We talk about dramas we’d remake, Thai dramas we’d dream cast to Kdramas (guess which one we chose?), and cringeworthy English. (And of course, being us, lots, lots more.)

Cherry Cordial watched a lot this week. A Lot. While Stephanie didn’t watch as much, she watched a bajilllion hours of Lakorn-crazy she needs to rant about—which leads us to a lot of questions about Lakorns in general. We learned we have more questions than answers on this one. Due to our general chattiness about Lakorns and Kdrama, we ran long so the episode gets chopped. Be on the lookout for a bonus episode of everything else we talked about!

We decided to have a loosey-goosey, really short episode this week! Well, that was the plan—instead we travel all around Asia, chatting at great lengths about the dramas we’re watching (so many!), how much we’ve missed Jackson, and an odd and random foray into American dramas. We’ve just come to realize brevity is not in our wheelhouse.

As promised, we’re talking about our BigBang concert experiences with special guests Regina and The Mystical Being of Unicorns (plus drop ins by trick-or-treaters and Regina’s mom Valerie, who weighs in on the concert and Siwon in a towel). Stephanie and Regina may or may have not been drinking heavily during the podcast, so we may or may not meander a lot. We’re giving all the deets on what happened, what we liked, didn’t like, and whether or not T.O.P was wearing mardi gras beads.
