Holy Gdragon, this is the second week in a row we’ve managed to keep the podcast under a manageable level. I’m so proud! This week, we talk about how Cherry and Amber tricked Stephanie into either watching terrible dramas, or not watching dramas at all. We also talk about the rash of injuries in Kdramaland, the results of our BigBang ticket hunt, what we’re watching (or in Stephanie’s case, which fanfiction she’s now reading), answer a question on whether or not it is worth it to go to KCon, and then end up with a discussion whether drama-writers owe anything, story-wise, to the watchers.

In this episode, Stephanie was determined to get the podcast to a manageable length. We chat about Chinese dramas, which seems to have taken over our current drama watching, KCon updates, BigBang, comments on comments, we draw the winner for the year anniversary giveaway (thanks for entering guys!), and then we end on something a little different—Stephanie’s Ranty Corner, where she talks about DramaFever’s apparent decision to start carrying BBC programming. All in all, one of the best times we’ve had in a while!

Our anniversary podcast! We can’t believe we’ve been doing this a whole year already. Today we’re talking about the many, many dramas we’re watching, including our Healer marathon, and then we’re answering the weirdest collection of Who Would You’s, which includes tacos, sock puppets, and fanfiction. Then, for our celebration we’re answering a basket full of listener questions covering the best and the worst in drama tropes, our favorite romantic moments, high school dramas, and actor swap outs.

In this very special episode of the Kchat Jjigae Podcast, we’re joined by friends Xe and Molly In Kdramaland, where we will talk about, and squeee over, the Thai drama Love Sick: The Series. We’ll be talking season 1, what’s out so far of season 2, and the web book. If you’ve read the book and watched the drama—come and listen. If you haven’t—well you may want to watch first and then come back, as not only is it a super cute drama, but we are going to spoil the s*#t out of it.
This episode is an experiment, so it’s different from the episodes we usually put out. Cherry and I have wanted to do this for a while, take a single drama or movie and talk about it at length (i.e. rip it apart, look at the pieces, and then reassemble). The format is a lot looser than usual, and as a result, I decided to not edit as I usually do, leaving the conversation almost as is. Listening again for the edit, I noticed we do have our fangirl glasses on, so it’s a lot of “I love it!” and “They are so adorable!” but we managed to get some more interesting bits in there as well.

It’s our 25th episode! Which we’d be more excited about 1) if we hadn’t had to record so many times and 2) if our one year anniversary wasn’t a mere episode away. Today we’re talking what we’re watching, the long awaited return of Khottie, anticipation for Orange Marmalade, Cherry reports on the Korean Music Festival, and then we answer some listener questions on soothing Kpop videos, and suggestions for what Korean movies we’d suggest to someone trying to hook her husband in.

Due to some technical glitches, the podcast will be out on Friday instead of today. Good news though? Due to some special episodes, we're going to have a new episode every week for the next three weeks!

The name might have changed, but never fear, Stephanie and Cherry Cordial are up to their same old shenanigans. In this episode, we gush over the new site and explain where the name Kchat Jjigae came from. We also discuss dramas we've watched, T.O.P’s new Instagram obsession, exciting KCON news, and how Stephanie has about-faced on The Producers.

In this episode we put our ranty hats on and talk about how delightful we think it is when people call Kdramas "Korean soap operas," and if they can say it while rolling their eyes? Even better! (This is a lie, neither of these things are good.) We talk about what we’re watching and Stephanie lays a big surprise on Cherry Cordial, add on some newsy type stuff and a listener-question-inspired topic about the changes of Kdrama through history which we “Uhhh…” our way through, and you have the perfect recipe for an interesting podcast.

In this episode we do lots of stuff, so just listen. Just kidding! After chatting about news, what we’re watching, and how Roommate has been letting us down of late, we answer Kdrama-related questions, which have us coming almost to blows over the epic question “Super Junior or Big Bang?” and wondering which Kdrama heroine we would most want to be. Then we move over to talking about comfort watches, dramas that are our go to’s if we are sick or just want to be cheered up.

In today’s episode, we talk about changing the way we watch Kdrama and vow to start simulcasting more by looking through a lot of the upcoming dramas, we squeee about random kpop news, and wonder who would pay to watch a hologram GDragon. Meandering, we brush on body size in Korean entertainment and the possible end of our love of Roommate.
