KCLR's Big Game Live

The penultimate game of the second weekend of the Kilkenny Senior Hurling League took place in Thomastown GAA Grounds when Glenmore and James Stephens faced off.

Could Glenmore build on a stunning performance and result against Ballyhale Shamrocks in their first game of the season or did last year’s runners-up James Stephens continue a strong start to life under Brian Cody following their defeat of Graigue Ballycallan in the opening round?

The second round of the St Canice’s Credit Union Kilkenny Senior Hurling League continued on Saturday evening when Bennettsbridge and Graigue Ballycallan went head-to-head in James Stephens GAA Grounds.

Would Bennettsbridge maintain their 100% winning record following last weekend’s defeat of Erin’s Own or did Graigue Ballycallan bounce back from their opening day defeat to James Stephens?

The St Canice’s Credit Union Kilkenny Senior Hurling League continued this Friday night and it was the first city derby of the season as Dicksboro took on O’Loughlin Gaels in James Stephens GAA Grounds.

Coming off the back of a convincing defeat of Clara last weekend, Michael Walsh’s Dicksboro side was hoping to continue their fine form, while Brian Hogan’s O’Loughlin Gaels charges had another tough test after last week’s clash with Tullaroan.

The first semi-final of the day in the JJ Kavanagh and Sons Carlow Senior Hurling Championship saw Mount Leinster Rangers face Bagenalstown Gaels in Netwatch Cullen Park.
