For the second time in a week, Kilkenny went head-to-head with Tipperary on a hurling pitch.
This time Kilkenny had to go the long long way to Tipperary, to face their old rivals once again in FBD Semple Stadium.
A packed crowd was expected to attend with the intention being to raise funds for the Dillon Quirke Foundation. A hugely worthy cause, which has resonated heavily with the GAA community around the world.
We had three live games on KCLR This weekend.
Starting proceedings will be the opening round of the VERY Ireland Camogie Leagues
Kilkenny traveled to Cusack park in Clare with Martin Quility and Aine Farrell on duty for KCLR
Carlow’s national hurling league campaign continued with a trip to Austin Stack Park to take on Kerry.
Following defeat to Kildare in the opening round, Carlow had some ground to make up against the Kingdom.
We were in Tralee with Brendan Hennessy, Terence Kelly, and the Scoreline sports team to bring you all the action on air, online, and in the KCLR app.
With a win against Antrim under their belt, Kilkenny hosted Tipperary in the second round of the Allianz Hurling League.
It’s manager Derek Lyng’s first competitive fixture at UPMC Nowlan Park against a side that always brings a championship flavor to proceedings when they’re in Kilkenny.
We were in the stands with the All-Ireland-winning trio of Adrian Ronan, Michael Walsh, and Aidan Fogarty, along with the KCLR Scoreline sports team to bring you all the action and reaction on and off the pitch.
Listen back to Robbie Dowling and Willie Quinlan on commentary as Carlow battled back into a game with 14 men in the second half to seal a draw with Wicklow on the opening night of the 2023 Allianz Football League.
This game was originally broadcast with thanks to Dan Morrissey & Co.
Ballyhale Shamrocks were back in Croke Park on Sunday for one final roll of the dice in the 2022 club hurling series.
The five-in-a-row Kilkenny senior hurling champions and reigning Leinster champions went against Ulster champions Cuchullains Dunloy of Antrim to decide who would be crowned 2022 club All-Ireland senior hurling champions.
Dunloy have been here before though have yet to win the title, despatching St. Thomas’ of Galway at the semi-final stages in a cracking encounter while Ballyhale put last year’s final heartbreak to rest by sending champions Ballygunner out before Christmas.
With fireworks and new floodlights switched on, we were live in Wexford Park for the last round of this year’s Walsh Cup.
The Model County have a full evening of entertainment planned to mark their first competitive game under lights at Chadwicks Wexford Park.
Having picked up wins against Offaly and Laois in the opening rounds, Derek Lyng’s side – much like Wexford – knew that a win means a place in Croke Park for this year’s final.
