John Millea with the MSHSL joins Zeke on the Wrap today to talk about the plan for Winter State Tournaments, and some things he's been watching this season including a milestone win for the head coach of the Parkers Prairie Girls Basketball Team.

Also, the Wild return to the ice for the first time in nearly two weeks tonight in Los Angeles, the Wolves host LeBron and the Lakers and the Twins sign another depth pitcher.

Mike Grimm of the Gopher Radio Network and MNN Sports joined Zeke on the Wrap today to talk some Minnesota Gopher Men's hoops after an up-and-down week that saw a home win over #24 Purdue and a road loss to Maryland to drop the team to 0-7 on the road. Mike preview the Big Ten Tournament (which will be held in Indianapolis beginning on Wednesday, March 10th) and talks about what the Gophers need to during their last five (or six if the Nebraksa cancellation gets rescheduled...) games to solidify their NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament chances.

Also, Karl-Anthony Towns became the Wolves' all-time leader in three-pointers made in a 116-112 win against Toronto last night, Jack LaFontaine did something for the Gopher Men's Hockey team that has never been done before,  the Wild return to the ice tomorrow in Los Angeles, and the Twins open Spring Training this week.

DLHS Boys hockey players Jack Hines and Braeden Wimmer join the Wrap to chat about their senior seasons and tonight's matchup against Fergus Falls.

Zeke checks in on Kevin Falness of the Minnesota Wild Radio Network to see what he's been up to during the Wild's COVID pause. They chat about the silver lining to the Wild shutting things down and swap Mikko Koivu stories.

In the second half, Brandon Warne of Access Twins breaks down the Twins roster seven days ahead of Spring Training, previews the bullpen, talks outfield depth and some moves within the division made by teams not from Chicago.

Big news yesterday from the MSHSL concerning state competition at the high school level: it's going to happen. Zeke breaks down the dates and locations for winter state sports: skiing, dance, gymnastics, swim and dive, wrestling, basketball, and hockey.

Speaking of wrestling: two more matches, two more wins for DL Wrestling last night on KDLM, beating OTC and Frazee. Charlie had a chance to talk to Wrestling coach Rob Ullyott after his #11 Detroit Lakes Lakers beat Frazee 43-18 at the Ralph Anderson Gymnasium last night.

The Twins have made another move, trading outfielder Lamonte Wade Jr to San Francisco for reliever Shaun Anderson. Anderson has a NASTY slider...nasty in a good way.

The Gophers became the latest team to blow a fourth-quarter, losing to Rutgers last night to fall to 0-6 on the road. This Gopher team has beaten #7 Ohio State, #8 Iowa, and #4 Michigan (Michigan's only loss...) but is still only 4-7 in the Big Ten.

In the second half of the Wrap, Zeke talks with Jace Frederick of the Pioneer Press about the Minnesota Timberwolves' latest fourth-quarter collapse, when we could see Juancho and KAT back on the floor, offensive play-calling and what to expect in back-to-back games in Oklahoma City this weekend.

What a wild 24 hours. The Timberwolves had a win probability of 97% in the fourth quarter last night but still finds a way to lose, the Wild are done until at least next Tuesday after six players contract COVID, White Sox fans are nervous after the Twins sign Colome as their closer last night.

Plus, Zeke went to DLHS Boys Hockey praccy last night to chat with coach Tanner Lane about the progression of the team through the first month of the shortened season, recapping the 4-2 start, and looking ahead to The Stick Game at Fergus Falls on the 12th of February.

LOTS of Lakers wins last night: Girls Hockey and Boys Basketball each won their fourth straight game. Boys hockey put up a 10 spot on Breckenridge/Wahpeton, Girls Basketball handed Pequot Lakes their first loss of the season, and Lakers Gymnastics got their first win of the season against Park Rapids.
