Well, it was a rough one for the Minnesota Timberwolves last night. They led the Orlando Magic by 20 points but lost on a buzzer-beater 97-96 to lose for the 10th time in the last 11 games. Zeke talks about what went wrong and some potential fallout that could/should happen because of it.

A lot going in LakerLand tonight: Boys Swim and Dive at Thief River Falls, Boys Hockey at Prairie Center, and Girls Basketball at Pequot Lakes. Zeke stopped by practice last night to chat with captains Sarah Tangen and Maddy Bowers about the first week of competition, the team's emphasis on defense, and how Tangen can remain a leader despite being sidelined with an ankle injury. Lakers Boys basketball vs Aitkin has been postponed tonight.

In the second half of the Wrap, Zeke is joined by Brandon Warne of Access Twins a day after the Twins make their first off-season signing of the year in LHP J.A Happ. The two chat about other needs for the Twins, some young guys that will step up into starting roles this year, the White Sox' spending spree, and whether or not the Twins should bring back Marwin Gonzalez and if he would impact this team at all in 2021.

After that, Cal Soderquist from the Timberwolves Radio Network joins Zeke to talk about a crazy six days for the Timberwolves...positive COVID tests, canceled games, and more fourth-quarter collapses.

Double guests on today's KDLM Sports Wrap. First, Gopher play-by-play voice Mike Grimm joins to talk about the Men's Basketball team's upset of #7 Michigan on Saturday, Gopher alum making big plays in the NFL, and the legacy of Casey O'Brien.

In the second half, former Laker golfer Kate Smith joins the Wrap to talk about her senior season at Nebraska and being invited to compete in the 2021 Augusta National Women's Am later this spring.

DLHS alum Kate Smith joins Zeke on the Sports Wrap to talk about her time at the University of Nebraska and talk about her invite to the 2021 Augusta National Women's Am.

The Gopher Men's Basketball team wins another game against a Top 10 opponent by downing previously-undefeated Michigan on Saturday, but Zeke says they still need to improve on a couple of key things. Plus, NFL Conference Championships games are set as the Saints lose another playoff game at home to a team they probably should have been able to beat and it's oh, so satisfying. 

Head coach of the Laker Girls hockey team Scott Piepkorn joined Zeke on the Wrap today to talk about the upcoming season and whether or not the girls were jealous they had to wait until Tuesday to start their season.

Plus, the Boys hockey team overcomes slow start to beat Kittson on Thursday, Laker Wrestling proves they are #3 in the state, and this Kirill Kaprizov kid might be okay for the Minnesota Wild... 

Lakers Basketball coaches Rachel Johnson (GBB) and Markus Okeson (BBB) join Zeke on the Wrap to preview their teams and seasons. The girls open their season at home against Crosby-Ironton, while the boys are on the road in Perham to take on the Yellowjackets.

Cal Soderquist of the Timberwolves Radio Network joins Zeke on the Sports Wrap every Wednesday to talk Wolves basketball. Today, they talk about building off the defensive performance against Sunday's win against the Spurs, the great play of the Wolves backcourt, KAT and JO's return from injury and previews tonight's game against Tyus Jones and the Memphis Grizzlies.

Plus, the Wild extend Marcus Foligno, the Seattle Seahawks release an OC the Vikings should look into, and NBC San Francisco is making some pretty outrageous claims about the Wiggins/Russell trade ten games into the season.
