There is so much that can be completed by staying consistent. We grow up in an age of instant gratification and rewards, when really the joy is in the process. Anything worked on daily is better than everything that is done just once. Dont be defeated by the work, rejoice in it.
Rather your male or female, having healthy outlets to deal with past trauma is not something prevalent in the Black community. Few men even mention their trauma yet alone deal with it, but there seems to be a growing trend in women being comfortable mentioning their flaws but uncomfortable and uninterested in a resolution. Everyone has issues and most of us have past trauma, there is help out there if you believe in the help and want it, so we encourage everyone to 1st identify then seek resolution or therapy.
The place the Black man unwillingly occupies in this country is not for the weak at heart, in fact it's sole purpose to to rid the Black man of all emotion. The positioning of the Black man turned into a race for the spot, rather that's a spot out the hood, the spot at a job or with your favorite girl in the city. Birthed from this was our "cool' great at most times but it also manifested in Black men ignoring basic human emotions in lieu of maintaining the position of cool.

On a daily basis we nevermind our heath in favor of what we are "suppose to be " doing or what we want to do, in the long run this has a extreme negative effect on us and takes away the journey of life.

From American's salary to their dating there are certain standards of the way things are "Supposed to be", so much so that lying or neglecting ones actual self has become a lifestyle for many. Could there be any connection between the lack of Black fathers in the house hold and our lack of heritage? Saani theorizes the posed question, but not before he reminds of what "Walking to the Store" was like(9:28).
