This episode was off the back of changes in the "lockdown" rules here in Victoria during COVID and at the time, the stats that were going around in regards to Mental Health and Suicide due to being in lockdown and not being able to socialise due to COVID. This was a bit of a reality check for mself as I was one of the fortunate ones who was still able to work and provide for my family which also meant that I was out of home quite alot due to the nature of my work at the time.

In this episode I share a story from my childhood when i was a lil kid on the island of Mauke. This was in acknowledgement of Cook Islands language week at the time and I share my thoughts of COVID also during that period. Looking back now, and just hearing myself again, daaam I cant believe I was feeling that way and thinking that way. Glad to know that Im still here and trying to make the most of things lol.

In this episode I speak to a real close friend/cousin/brother of mine, the one and only Roto Makara. During this episode we were deep into lockdowns here in Melbourne due to COVID and were adjusting to the new so called "Norm". We share our experiences on how COVID is affecting us, and take a lilttle walk down memory lane as we revisit our childhood and what it was like for us growing up in the islands, to leaving Rarotonga, and our paths crossing here in Melbourne.

For this episode I figured Id give my wife her hour of fame lol and put her on the podcast. Second episode in and already I was getting people on, trying diffent things. This episode opened my eyes to a different side of my wife that I hadnt seen before, and just seeing how vulnarable she was sharing her story and sharing this piece of her with me.

Introductions - in this episode I talk about myself, who I am and the whole purpose of starting podcast. To think this all started in 2019 right in the mix of COVID. Kinda a surreal moment listening back to myself and thinking maaan this guy speaking now is not who I am at the moment lol. id like to think Im a lilttle bit wiser and more mature than the guy who started this podcast way back then.
