#3 Lost Identity part 1
The disciples in Matthew 17, found themselves without Jesus and a father had a boy who needed to supernatural work of a power filled Church. What he found was disciples who "without" Jesus didn't believe enough in themselves to carry on the work of the Kingdom of God. How we view ourselves has as much to do with our faith as how we view God, the disciples unbelief came not from how they viewed God, but how they viewed themselves.
Key Points:
- We can't operate in faith and work the works of the kingdom of God as long as we see our inadequacies.
- What we do is not our identity, but what we do and what we can't do is an example of how we view ourselves.
- Faith is affected by our unbelief and much of our unbelief comes from are acceptance in our own good works or the lack of them
- As long as we believe we don't measure up, or we are some how unworthy our faith will be hindered from working to promote the kingdom of God
