Keeping It Israel

In this podcast Jeff talks to the Caleb and Joshua Colson, AKA "The Bearded Bible Brothers" about rising antisemitism and concerns about it from a biblical perspective. From the heart of Texas, during the National Religious Broadcasters Convention (NRB), they touch on the history of antisemitism, the roots of modern antisemitism and the aims of Islam outlined in the Koran. The question some Jews have begun asking, arises: "Will you hide me?" ... an important question to ponder as we head into uncertain times.

They discuss Rabbi Shore's new book, "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Jew" and his  new movie, "Tragic Awakening." They also provide suggestions for how we can best combat antisemitism as it rears its ugly head in our world today.

About this Guest:

Rabbi Raphael Shore is a renowned filmmaker, author, human rights advocate, and visionary educational entrepreneur. As the founder of OpenDor Media and the Clarion Project, Shore has been instrumental in shaping global conversations about Jewish identity, antisemitism, radical Islam, and the State of Israel. His impressive oeuvre spans 18 documentaries and 500 educational videos, including the award-winning films Beneath the Helmet, Obsession, and The Third Jihad, which have collectively reached over 150 million viewers worldwide.
Shore's recent endeavors include the groundbreaking book Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Jew? Learning to Love the Lessons of Jew-Hatred, which delves into the origins and implications of antisemitism, and the feature film Tragic Awakening: A New Look at the Oldest Hatred. His works have sparked meaningful change, garnering extensive media coverage, screenings on Capitol Hill, and integration into NYPD training programs. In the aftermath of the October 7 pogrom in Israel—the deadliest attack on Jews since Kristallnacht—Shore’s projects resonate with renewed urgency, offering critical insights for a world grappling with rising intolerance.

Happy New Year! Welcome to 2025!

To kick off the new year we have compiled a podcast consisting of some major highlights from 2024's, "BATTLE FOR TRUTH" series. Throughout the series, we tackled some of the misinformation out there about Israel with several guests who specialized on the topic! Just some of the questions tackled in this compilation of highlights are: What is Truth? Is Zionism Racism? Is Israel committing genocide in Gaza? What does archaeology say about Jewish history in the Land of Israel? Are today's Jews related to the ancient Jewish people in the Bible? And where should Christians stand in Israel's war?

In this interview, Jeff talks to Michael Freund about Zionism and its biblical roots. They discuss the connection Jews have, and always have had, with the Land of Israel; and they discuss the prophetic  importance that all of the tribes of Israel return to the Land God promised them in the Bible.

Rabbi Michael Freund graduated from Princeton University and got his MBA from Columbia. He lived in Israel for 25 years, where he served as Deputy Communications Director under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and went on to found Shavei Israel, a nonprofit that has brought more than 10,000 Jews from far-flung places on Aliya to Israel, including descendants of the Lost Tribes. He has been a syndicated columnist for the Jerusalem Post for two decades and authored two books. Freund has five grown sons, 4 of whom are reservists in elite IDF combat units and fought in Gaza and Lebanon over the past year. He is a loyal New York Mets fan.

In this episode of our Battle for Truth series Jeff Futers talks to Melissa Briggs, an experienced Hebrew Teacher who lived in Jerusalem, then England, and now lives in Nashville with her husband, children, and foster children. Melissa is passionate about making the riches of the Hebrew language accessible to everyone. She is also an Ambassador for Christian Friends of EMUNAH Israel - a charity that supports the orphans and most needy children in the Holy Land.

In this interview, Jeff and Melissa discuss how the Hebrew language has a practical application in our lives as we seek to have a godly response to current events. You don’t have to be a Hebrew scholar to benefit from learning the powerful original meanings of key Hebrew words that are central to our Christian faith. As we mark the one-year anniversary since the brutal Oct. 7th massacre, it’s important to remember that day – to honor the lives and stories of the many victims and survivors. Also to remember the nearly 100 hostages still held in Hamas’ cruel captivity since that day. As we continue our “Battle for Truth” series, Melissa is here to share with us insights from the Hebrew language and the Scriptures about a Biblical perspective truth, faith, and remembrance.
