Keeping It Israel

In this episode of our "Battle for Truth" podcast series, Jeff talks to Brian Sanders about his timely new film, "Why Stand with Israel", getting to the bottom of why Christians around the world should be standing in solidarity with Israel more than ever, right now. Together they explore replacement theology,  the significance of the "one new man" mentioned in Ephesians and many more scriptures and topics regarding the significant connection Christianity has with the Jewish people at its roots.

In this episode of our "Battle for Truth" podcast series, Jeff talks to Aaron and Dani, a Jewish couple who both grew up in Toronto, Canada. Today, the couple is living in Toronto at a time when antisemitism is reaching new heights, such as they have never known before. Dani's grandparents were expelled from Iraq and her other grandparents narrowly escaped Poland, so Dani is familiar with what antisemitism can lead to.

Why is antisemitism rising? Why did it rise so drastically after October 7th - a ruthless massacre that should have evoked deep empathy from the West for Israel who was victim to Hamas' atrocities? Why is such a double-standard being applied to Israel and the Jewish people? How should Christians respond to this rise in antisemitism? These are some of the critical questions addressed in this heart-to-heart conversation.

In this podcast, Jeff talks to Dr. Charles Jacobs, President of the African - Jewish Alliance about the similarities between the massacre that occurred in Israel October 7th and what has been going on in modern-day Africa. Jeff shares his experience watching over 40 minutes of October 7th footage from Hamas cameras while Dr. Jacobs compares it to what he has witnessed happening today in Africa.

Dr. Charles Jacobs is an author, journalist and activist who over two decades has founded human rights and pro-Israel organizations, some of which have become nationally known.

In 1993 Charles joined with African Christians and Muslims to found the American Anti-Slavery Group. He flew several times ILLEGALLY into Sudan on rescue missions that freed thousands of slaves. Coretta Scott King presented Charles with the Boston Freedom Award for his abolitionist work. In 2008, in response to the threat of Islamic radicalism’s rapid penetration of American society, Charles, along with Professor Dennis Hale and Sheikh Ahmed Mansour, founded Americans for Peace and Tolerance.

Charles has recently formed The African-Jewish Alliance to educate the public about the Islamist onslaught against Africans today. The AJA consists of American Jews and Africans living in America whose people are under assault.

Charles was once named by The Forward as one of America’s top 50 Jewish leaders. He has been widely published, including in The New York Times, The Boston Globe, The Jerusalem Post, and the Encyclopedia Britannica. He has appeared on local and national television and radio, including CNN, CBS, Fox News, NPR, and PBS.

In this interview, Jeff talks to Robert J. Wolf MD, author of "Not a Real Enemy: The True Story of a Hungarian Jewish Man's Fight for Freedom." Published by Amsterdam Publishers, this 4-time award winning book is based on Robert’s family’s history, first living under the Nazis, and then under the communist regime in Hungary. In 1944, almost half a million Jewish Hungarians were deported to Auschwitz. Among the few surviving Hungarian Jews of this era was Robert’s father, Ervin Wolf, who was conscripted into the brutal Forced Labor Service, cut off from the outside world, and ordered to endure inhumane brutalities and servitude. Once freed, a new oppression took hold as communist rule under Stalin turned friends to foes, enveloping Hungary with fear and suspicion, testing everyone’s character and strength. Robert’s book is an exciting page-turner that has a lot of relevance at this particular time in history.

In this episode, Jeff talks to Chris Atkins, owner of One Media about his perspective of Israel having travelled there over 50 times. Once unsure about what he thought about Israel, Chris now feels more safe and at home in Israel than anywhere else in the world, unless he is at home in Canada.  They also discuss being in Israel when Iran attacked, and their views on how those in the West, and Christians in particular, should stand in Israel's battle today.

In this episode of Keeping it Israel's BATTLE FOR TRUTH series, Jeff talks to Bob O'Dell, co-founder of Root Source about what Israel's war with Hamas means through a Biblical lens. How are Christians finding meaning in Israel's war with Hamas? Are they finding any at all? Is this war an example of Psalm 83? Is it signs of Gog and Magog (Ezekiel 38/39)? And who were the Amalekites in the Bible... does this war relate to them in any way? These are some of the questions addressed in this thought-provoking conversation.

Jeff and Bob also highlight that it is critical for Christians to stand with Israel and "hold up Israel's arms" during this war,  as they simultaneously show strong solidarity with Jewish people everywhere who are currently experiencing a rise in antisemitism like never before.
