So many amazing humans I talk to are looking for THE next thing that is going to bring them ___________ (fill in the blank).

Success.

Fulfillment.

Confidence.

Somewhere along the line I think we have forgotten that “insert your word” is not linear. It is a mix and jumbled sequence of fails, wins, fails, wins, plateau and let’s throw a little loopty loop in there too.

As humans we are impatient. We want our results yesterday. But, that is not the way the world works…unfortunately.

Now that I am getting back into team sports and things are opening up in the world, I had a little ah-ha moment the other day.

I realized that a lot of things that I learned playing sports have directly and positively impacted my business.

Who would have known that all those practices would have led to more than just excelling in sport.

I think that every goal we set, has a foundation that helps us move forward, and I truly believe that sports have helped guide me and prepare me as I started and continue to grow my business into a profitable one, and one that I absolutely LOVE.

In this episode, I break down the 5 foundational skills I believe are necessary to really stick, commit and follow through on your goals.

Of course, each building block will be unique to you, but the blocks are definitely the things that together created a foundation for me.

Over in the Expansion Formula (my group coaching program), we are diving deep into what we believe to be true about success, what it means to be abundant and how we can change our money blueprint so we can grow a profitable business.

Last weekend was wild. I had 3 major events happen that still blow my mind.

Let’s just say one of them involves high heels and fishnets. Yup, if you know me, you are just as surprised as I am.

Seriously though. This past weekend I did 3 things that are by the book “untraditional” and I wanted to share them with you on this podcast.

Why? Well mostly because if you feel you hold yourself back for going after things and catch yourself saying “I am too old for that” or “ I can’t do that”, or any other language that is holding you back, then this podcast will have you have you wiping off your own version of dance shoes and deciding to go for it.

I also share with you 10 little gold nuggets that I took from getting out of my comfort zone and deciding to follow my heart and not my head and I know they can help you too.

I get it, it can be tough, scary, and downright knee knocking to do the things that are different, that scare you to your core and totally out of the norm.

But, I also know that on the other end… well there is nowhere else I would rather be.

I decided to switch things up this week and give you an insiders peak of some of the tools I share with my clients.

Being present is so hard. We have so many demands and so many people struggle with really tapping into slowing down and being in the moment instead of pondering about our to-do list, thinking about what needs to happen next and all the mile long things we usually focus on.

The result? We are always go-go-go and we are often left feeling depleted, overwhelmed and so far from feeling good about ourselves. 

BUT, we don't want this to be our home emotional state. AND, if we want to change that, we have to implement some new strategies to help. 

This week I am introducing you to one of the biggest tools that have helped me (and still do) and the tool I had THE most resistance to. 

This tool has helped me become more present, confident, at ease, empowered, successful, help me reach ALL the goals and really set me up for the things I really want from life.

Sounds pretty good, right? 

But in order to start seeing the change, we have to start doing something different.

It may seem like a small thing, but trust me when I say…

“The magic happens in the small things we do daily.”

She self-published her book that she wrote in 2 weeks, WOWZA.

Sam is such an inspiration and today we talked about how she made a goal and made it happen within 2 weeks. I mean there is one thing to self-publish a book but to do it in 2 weeks is AMA-ZING.

During this episode we dive into how the pandemic actually helped her go inward and process a lot of emotions. This then fuelled her desire to put it into words and create a piece of art that was from the heart. We dive into the process of how she made this happen and how you can apply what she did to any goal you set for yourself.

The world can feel very heavy sometimes. It can feel consuming. It can feel overwhelming and it can feel like you are out of sorts and have no idea how to shift it. I get it.

From grade school, we have been taught to sit and fit in. We have been taught to blend in and not stand out and essentially we have been taught to shrink who we are.
