“Good friends are hard to find, harder to leave, and impossible to forget.” —G. Randolph
There are very few things in life that are more important than having meaningful relationships with people that we love and trust. Friendship can be one of the most powerful gifts we receive in life.
When we experience difficult times, unconditional love from a friend can be just what we need to get through. We all need a friend who will love us when we aren't lovable.
And just like we change throughout the seasons of our lives, so can some of our friendships. When we lose a friendship or feel the friendship has changed a lot, it may be difficult to accept or manage our feelings of loss. In this episode, I offer some suggestions on how to move forward if a friendship becomes strained or ends.
Just like anything worth having in our lives, meaningful friendships require trust, understanding, acceptance, commitment, and even sometimes, hard work.
