  • New Christians of the "Great Awakening" ABOLISHED Human Slavery

What if everything you thought you knew about slavery's abolition was incomplete?

Ken Mercer challenges conventional historical narratives in this thought-provoking episode introducing his book "Slavery 101: The True, Untold History of How New Christians of the "Great Awakening " ABOLISHED Human Slavery."

Mercer transports listeners to 1776, establishing crucial historical context often missing from modern discussions. By then,

    • Human Slavery had existed for over 8,000 years,
    • No nation had yet abolished Slavery, and
    • complex networks facilitated the slave trade, including the uncomfortable truth that 95% of enslaved Africans were originally captured and sold by other African tribes.

The Arab Muslim Slave Trade had operated for a millennium BEFORE America's 1776 founding - facts rarely emphasized in contemporary education.

Against this backdrop, Mercer highlights how Christian converts during the "Great Awakening" made an extraordinary moral stand.

Despite slavery's ancient roots and universal acceptance, these believers declared it sinful and launched a revolutionary movement that would transform global attitudes toward human bondage.

The book promises to reveal the progression of abolition by Christians of the "Great Awakening" through:

    • America's founding documents,
    • the Emancipation Proclamation, and
    • three Constitutional Amendments,

While also exposing how several nations continued practicing slavery nearly a century after America's Civil War - even as United Nations members.

  • EDITORIAL OPINION: SUE the CCP for COVID - Forgive Our $1 Trillion Loan

The devastating financial and human toll of COVID-19 demands a conversation about accountability. Ken Mercer presents a straightforward proposal: The CHINESE COMMUNIST PARTY should forgive the $1 trillion loan America took during the pandemic as partial compensation for the disease that originated within its borders.

    • The numbers are staggering and deserve our attention—1.2 million Americans dead from COVID-19, exceeding our combined losses in World War II and the Civil War.
    • 115 million Americans testing positive and millions facing lifelong respiratory complications, the pandemic's shadow stretches far beyond mere statistics.
    • The economic impact reaches an estimated $14 trillion, yet remarkably, we borrowed $1 trillion from the very nation where the virus originated.

Mercer builds his case on what we know about the pandemic's beginnings in Wuhan and the Chinese Communist Party's decision to halt domestic travel while allowing international flights to continue—effectively containing the virus within China while permitting its global spread.

This response raises profound questions about responsibility and fairness in international relations.

The proposal isn't just about money; it's about basic fairness "around kitchen tables" across America. While Washington insiders might dismiss such straightforward thinking, Mercer argues that everyday Americans understand justice differently.

A $1 trillion loan forgiveness would immediately reduce our national deficit by 2.5% while establishing a precedent for accountability in global health crises.

What do you think? Is loan forgiveness a reasonable first step toward justice, or should we be pursuing other forms of accountability? Share your thoughts, subscribe to hear more compelling perspectives on American history, and join the conversation about how nations should respond when public health failures cross borders and cause global catastrophes.

  • "M" Verse - "How MAJESTIC is your Name" Psalm 8:9, Song: "Majesty"

We continue our alphabetical journey through Scripture, we've arrived at the "M-verse" - Psalm 8:9, which reminds us "How majestic is your name in all the earth." This simple yet profound declaration serves as our foundation for exploring divine majesty in both word and song.

Our journey takes an unexpected cross-cultural turn as we share how Jack Hayford's classic worship anthem "Majesty" first came to Ken Mercer through its Spanish version, "Majestad." The beauty of worship transcends language, as "adora su majestad" (worship His majesty) carries the same reverent power as its English counterpart.

This multilingual connection reminds us that God's majesty isn't confined to any single expression but reaches hearts across every cultural boundary.

Through the familiar melody and powerful lyrics of "Majesty," we contemplate how true worship acknowledges divine authority and sovereignty flowing "from His throne unto His own." The song invites us to exalt, lift high, and magnify Jesus Christ, recognizing Him as the King of all kings.

Whether you've been affectionately calling us "Grandpa's Bible Show" or know us as Ken Mercer Worship, we invite you to explore performances of this timeless worship song by artists like the Gaither Trio and Maranatha Singers.

  • "L" Verse - "God is LOVE" 1 John 4: 7-8, Song: "Beloved, Let Us LOVE One Another"

Ken Mercer explores the "L verse" in our Family Bible Memory series, focusing on the profound truth that "God is love" from 1 John 4:7-8.

This powerful scripture teaches us that love isn't just something God does—it's who He is. "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God and everyone that loves knows God."

The circular relationship is clear: we must love to know God because God's very essence is love itself. Those who don't love cannot truly know Him, missing the core of His nature.

Parents and grandparents will appreciate the practical memory tool shared in this episode—a simple children's song that transforms theological concepts into memorable melodies.

This approach recognizes that while biblical truths may be profound, they must be accessible to impact generations. The repetitive tune embeds the scripture deeply, creating lasting spiritual foundations for your family.

The episode connects this biblical understanding of love with American values, suggesting that "the strength of America has always been our faith and values." When we stray from these foundations, we lose something essential about our character. Reconnecting with "In God We Trust" isn't just about tradition—it's about rediscovering the love that can heal our homes and nation.

Whether you're beginning your family's journey in faith or continuing generations of spiritual tradition, start with this foundational truth: God is love. Let it shape how you treat others, approach challenges, and build your legacy. When we show love, we're showing God to the world.

    • God is love (1 John 4:7-8) is our featured memory verse for "L"
    • Learning scripture through song helps children and adults remember biblical truths
    • Those who love know God because God's essential nature is love
    • America's strength comes from our faith and values
    • Reconnecting with "In God We Trust" helps put our nation back on track
    • Showing love to others is showing God's nature to the world

Remember that when we show love, we're showing God to others. Let's remain rooted in the knowledge that "In God we still trust" is not just our national motto—it's our pathway to strength, unity, and blessing in our homes and our USA.

  • SPECIAL PRAYER: Find and Protect 320,000+ MISSING Children

A humanitarian crisis is unfolding with 320,000 migrant children unaccounted for in the United States, alongside thousands more missing American children.

Ken Mercer calls for urgent prayer and action to find, free, and protect these vulnerable young lives who may be victims of trafficking. This isn't just a statistic—it represents hundreds of thousands of vulnerable young lives potentially exposed to exploitation, trafficking, and abuse on American soil.

During congressional hearings, officials admitted they've lost track of these children who were supposedly assigned to "responsible adults" upon entering the country.

The disturbing reality becomes even clearer upon learning that some children cross the border wearing colored wristbands indicating which cartel "owns" them and how much money they still owe.

Basic questions about their welfare—whether they're safe, fed, in school, or receiving healthcare—remain unanswered.

There's renewed hope with the recent appointments of Pam Bondi as Attorney General, Linda McMahon as Secretary of Education, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Secretary of Health and Human Services. These officials potentially have both the authority and commitment to address this crisis systematically. But they need our support and vigilance.

Prayer must be followed by action. Contact your representatives, support organizations fighting child trafficking, and keep this issue in the national conversation.

Together, we can send a clear message that the United States will not tolerate the exploitation of children, and that we are committed to finding, freeing, and protecting every missing child—regardless of their origin. Join us in this crucial fight for those who cannot protect themselves.

    • Previous administration admitted in congressional hearings they couldn't locate 320,000 children who crossed the border
    • Some children arrive wearing colored wristbands indicating which cartel they belong to and debts they still owe
    • New Cabinet appointees Pam Bondi, Lyndon McMahon, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. offer hope for addressing this crisis
    • Crisis extends beyond migrant children to include thousands of missing American children
    • This child trafficking should NEVER happen in the United States

Join me in prayer and action to send a message to our legislators and the world that America will stand up to find, free, save, and bless these precious children. Thank you, and God bless you for your prayers.

  • "K" Verse - "KNOCK and the Door..." Matt 7:7, Song: "Ask, Seek, and Knock!"

Ever wondered why some prayers seem to go unanswered? The K-verse "Knock and the door will be open for you" from Matthew 7:7 might hold the key.

This episode unpacks the powerful trilogy found in this scripture: ask, seek, and knock. These aren't just random spiritual activities but a progressive journey deeper into faith. While asking initiates the conversation with God and seeking demonstrates our commitment, knocking represents the boldest step—taking action aligned with our prayers.

The humorous but profound illustration of escalating from gentle knocking to "kicking down doors" in "The Name of Jesus!" perfectly captures how persistence and determination work in our spiritual lives.

But perhaps the most enlightening moment comes through a Hispanic father-in-law's (Mi Suegro) wisdom shared in a Spanish-speaking church. When men were praying for jobs, he whispered, "The first thing you need is an application"—a perfect reminder that faith without works remains incomplete.

This principle applies universally to every area of life: relationships, career, health, and spiritual growth. As the episode beautifully summarizes: "You do what you can do, then you've got to let God do what only God can do." This balanced approach acknowledges both our responsibility and God's sovereignty.

The original song featured reinforces these divine promises—that when we ask, seek, and knock with sincere hearts, God faithfully responds. What door are you hesitating to approach today? Remember, sometimes the breakthrough comes only after you take that step of faith and knock.

    • The trilogy of spiritual action: ask, seek, and knock from Matthew 7:7
    • Sometimes prayer requires following through with action ("kicking down the door")
    • A humorous but profound story about praying for a job without sending applications
    • The balanced approach: "Do what you can do, then let God do what only God can do"
    • A song reinforcing the promises found in asking, seeking, and knocking

Remember this K-verse: "Knock and the door will be open for you" - Matthew 7:7
