Happy New Year!

We finally see the entrance of Li Syaoran, who of course captures our hearts later in the series, but now he's a total jerk!

Also the Thunder card is not only a) wrongly named but also b) trying to kill people (like most other cards). And we also get a very cute battle costume, but we have to question the material choices... also why the cat ears?

Sakura, Kero, and Tomoyo become elegant art theives in order to capture a Clow Card that's lurking at the art museum. But a persistent little kid is getting in the way. Also we ramble and rant about lax Japanese security, how Bob Ross is a god, and a bit of Sailor Moon (nothing new there).

Something spooky is lurking in the woods near Sakura's school! When Sakura and her classmates investigate they find a ghost, but they all see something different which makes this whole thing even weirder. It gets weirder (and more murder-y...again) when Sakura returns later and the ghost she sees is her deceased Mom, which in turn nearly results in Sakura falling to her death...again. What is it with cards making her nearly plunge to her doom?

We're back after our unexpected break!

There's a totally cute toy shop opening in Tomoeda, but it seems the shop owner as a troubled past. The panda toy from her shop keeps getting "stolen" from people's homes and ending up back at the shop. This causes the owner, Maki, to have to move her shop to another town. Luckily magical girls are totally common/helpful and Sakura is on the case.

Sakura is stuck inside on her day off doing chores. Booo! But she manages to finish the ridiculous amount of work with a little help from Kero. Yay! Except 2 cards she found while cleaning cause a bit of a ruckus and make things difficult for Sakura and company. Also booo! But even mischievous cards and Tomoyo's unsettling calmness/obsession won't stop Sakura from getting the job done -- whether that's Cardcaptor-ing or cleaning the whole damn house... twice.

Sakura's mission moves steadily along with the appearance of the slightly murderous Watery card. People (and penguins!) are in danger, but more importantly Sakura has her very 1st date with her crush Yukito. Never mind that the date goes awry and people almost die because it's all part of being a Cardcaptor... yay?
