  • Kettle Whistle Radio #343 The Gross Brothers Halloween Special

Humans are all disgusting. Yet only two convention creators can be ultimately GROSS. Welcome to Halloween and The Gross Brothers Halloween Special, celebrating their 9th annual GROSSFEST! This is a convention in Pittsburgh founded by Tim and Tom Gross, two hilariously proud, risk-taking individuals that put everything on the line to support the horror genre and what they grew up with! They do NOT dwell on the normal statistics, like, funding, location, guests, but just fly off the edge of their seat to create the most insanely fun Horror Convention in the country, taylor-made for indie artists, filmmakers, actors, actresses, directors, collectors and of course the FANS! These two brothers have defeated the odds and built the most intimate convention; featuring a film festival as well as musical guests and a family of folks that should make you want to come out and join the blood feast. This predatory production was brought to you, soundtrack included, by the industrial/punk/metal monster-rock of 13occult and the Vegas-punk of Damned by the Night!

  • Kettle Whistle Radio #341 : Nostalgia Radio with Paul Dangelo

Radio used to be about journalism, responsible storytelling, educated writers avoiding libel, and not just script reading. Meet Professional Sportswriter, Paul Dangelo, and hear his musical tales from the time of Frank Zappa, The Turtles, and classic progressive 70's rock. Mr. Dangelo was at the rehearsal concert for the Talking Heads, just before they filmed the epic Stop Making Sense. If that is not enough bragging rights, he also talks about his strangely coincidental meet-up with Don King, and his odd involvement at the Larry Holmes vs. Renaldo Snipes (1981) at Pittsburgh's Civic Arena and his work for the press for Super Bowl XIV!

You may be hearing more of him, in the future, as we showcase Paul Dangelo and his stories for the amazing sports podcast, JD Talkin' Sports.
