The documentary, directed by Kevin Abrams, focuses on lawyer Ivan Bates’ tireless role as the defense attorney for the many victims of Baltimore City police officer, Wayne Jenkins’ corruption. Abrams and Bates join me to discuss the film, which shows in painful detail how Jenkins and members of the Baltimore City Police Department’s Gun Trace Task Force robbed and imprisoned innocent people for their own financial gain. The documentary meticulously details how in 2017, Jenkins and six other BCPD officers were indicted on racketeering charges, and in doing so, gives voice to those who fell victim to their despicable scheme.
