  • #106: Jason Crandell - Who owns what?

Jason Crandell is a considered by many to be a "teacher's teacher". As a student and as a teacher, we can learn a ton from his 20 years of teaching experience. Named ‚Äúone of the teachers shaping the future of yoga,‚ÄĚ by Yoga Journal, Jason has been an in-demand teacher at conferences around the world for more than a decade. Considered a teacher‚Äôs teacher, Jason has taught on countless teacher training faculties, leads trainings globally, and regularly presents teacher training content at esteemed conferences. Jason‚Äôs primary teacher is Rodney Yee, once said, ‚ÄúJason is taking the art of teaching yoga to its next level."

I know I've learnt a lot from him and I hope you can too.

  • #105: J Brown - The OG of yoga podcasting speaks.

For more than fifteen years, J. Brown has been developing techniques to teach people how to practice yoga in a deeper and more fulfilling way. He is also a well known writer, having been featured in the IAYT's peered reviewed International Journal and across the yoga blogosphere.

    J. Brown came to yoga by way of his mother's death. Reconciling that loss, and wanting to be free from the crippling grief and disillusionment that came with it, fueled his passion for learning to make himself well.

In 2007, after more than a decade as a popular teacher at various schools in Manhattan and Brooklyn, J. founded Abhyasa Yoga Center in Brooklyn, NY. AYC was created to provide a home for yoga practice that adapts to individual needs. In 2013, J. also released "J. Brown's Yoga DVD" which is now in 16 countries around the world.

  • #104: Max Strom - How To Manage Fear.

Max Strom is the author of my favourite book: A Life Worth Breathing. I can't tell you the number of times I've listened to this masterpiece.

  • #102: Maura Rath - Whether you think you can, or you think you can't ‚Äď you're right.

I truly believe that what we do with the years we have is far more important than the amount of years we have.

Maura Rath, of Yoga With Maura, has been teaching yoga full time for just 2 years but has already competed 500 hours + training, led 7 retreats and regularly sees 200-300 yogis join her daily Instagram Live classes.

Simply put, Maura has a 'can-do' attitude and is proof that mind-set is everything.

    Enjoy!

It was an absolute honour for me to be a guest on the Honestly Unbalanced Podcast.

  • #100: Jenny Keane - 'The no bullshit sex education everyone needs'.
Hundreds of women have attended Jenny's Orgasm Online workshops recently. Here's what people are saying:
'The no bullshit sex education everyone needs'.
'This woman needs to e in every school in Ireland'.
'Finally! It is so refreshing to hear someone talk about female pleasure in a mainstream form. There is such a need for this conversation and I feel even more so in Ireland. Yes to the pleasure revolution!'
Special thanks to my co-host (and love) Rachael Kinlan. We had a blast chatting to Jenny.
    Hope you enjoy this episode!

  • #98: Adam Hocke: How to be a healthy sceptic... or skeptic!?

You are not your thoughts. Be sceptical/skeptical of anyone who is too certain. Who is a fundamentalist. Who is dogmatic and unwilling to question anything, especially their own ideas. ⠀

Your ideas don't define you. No one defines you. We are ever changing, ever evolving observers. ⠀

Follow the teachings not the teacher. ⠀

These are my main takeaways from this conversation with @adam_hocke. Adam teaches precise, strong, and practical yoga classes to students in London, blending contemporary understandings of movement and mindfulness with the traditions of yoga. His popular video and audio classes stream online to yogis in over 150 countries.

Adam is a senior student of Jason Crandell, whom he assists on advanced teacher trainings and immersions. He holds a BFA and MA from New York University, where he was awarded the Newington Cropsey Fellowship for emerging artists and scholars.

He is also a lovely chap!

    Enjoy.
