Welcome to One Hit Wonduh - a Kick Ons mini series where we take a look at some of the biggest one hit wonders of all time.

This week, we're talking about a song that was a New Zealand first. That perfectly captures the state of music in 1999 and that is still performed today by most of its original members. That band is True Bliss, New Zealand's first and only (?) girl band.

One dream, one hit, wonduuuhhhh!

Welcome to One Hit Wonduh - a Kick Ons mini series where we take a look at some of the biggest one hit wonders of all time.

We're going to preface this one by saying, we know this is a stretch but we are standing by our vision. Come with us, to open Pandora's Box to celebrate their poorly received, one and only single It's All Coming Back To Me Now. A song that caused the feud of a lifetime and if you listen to all three versions, will get you swiftly from Paekakariki to Wellington. We are so excited to be joined by our gorgeous gal and personal tattooist, Jessica Reeves for this one.

One dream, one hit, wonduuuhhh!

This week, we are forecasting a deep dive into It's Raining Men by The Weather Girls. A song that no one wanted to record, that made us forgive Geri Halliwell (although do we forgive her for the blonde hair?) and just featured in our new favourite film.

One dream, one hit, wonduuuhhhh!

This one is for the South Cantabrians. Timaru’s literary darling Jordan Hamel is a writer and national poetry slam champion. He's also one of the co-editors Stasis Journal and the soon to be releasedy Climate Change Poetry Anthology. His poetry is policial, thought provoking and hilarious. Oh and Marama Davidson follows him on Instagram - huge flex.

Jordan breaks down what exactly slam poetry is, his writing process and explains why he, like all of us, wants to delete Facebook.

Get your tickets at sopeachykeen.com to see an incredible line up play Wellington's Basin Reserve - it's the perfect Easter treat. Benee, Gin Wigmore, Paige, Stellar*, Ladi6, Foley, Chelsea Jade and so many more live on April 3rd. This is the festival of our dreams and we are bringing you another two exclusive chats care of Peachy Keen this week - it's about to get fruity.

We've saved The Beths til last (sorry, couldn't resist) in our Peachy Keen takeover and let us tell you, it was worth it. The Beths formed in 2015 after studying jazz together at Auckland University. Over the next five years they would tour the world supporting the likes of 'Death Cab For Cutie'. Their album 'Jump Rope Gazers' released in March last year has taken them to new heights including winning multiple awards at the Aotearoa Music Awards in 2020. We spoke to front woman, Liz about the magic of working with lifelong friends, her songwriting process and we have a collective drool over Pete Wentz.
