Jesus told a story about a man who planted good seeds in his field, but an enemy secretly planted weeds among them. The man decided to let both grow together and separate them at harvest. Jesus explained that this is like the world, where good and bad people live together until the end of time, when they will be separated. He also shared other stories to explain the kingdom of heaven: it's like a hidden treasure in a field, so valuable that a man sold everything to buy the field, and like a pearl so precious a man sold all he had to buy it. Lastly, the kingdom is like a net catching many fish, where good fish are kept and bad ones are thrown away. Jesus asked if his followers understood, and they said they did. Join Julia Jeffress Sadler as she takes us on an incredible adventure in Episode 157. Jesus shared a story with a large crowd about a farmer who scattered seeds. Some seeds landed on a hard path and were eaten by birds, while others fell on rocky ground and died because they couldn't grow roots. Some seeds fell among thorns, which choked their growth. However, the seeds that landed on good soil grew into big, fruitful plants. Jesus explained that this story was like how different people hear God's words: some don't understand, others believe for a while but then give up, and some are too distracted by other things. But those who truly listen and understand God's words are like good soil, growing strong and spreading His teachings to others. She washed Jesus' feet with her tears, dried them with her hair, and anointed them with perfume. Simon doubted Jesus' wisdom, thinking a true prophet would reject a sinner. Jesus responded with a story about forgiveness and gratitude, pointing out that the woman showed more hospitality and love than Simon. He then forgave her sins, saying her faith had saved her, leaving the guests puzzled about His authority to forgive.
