Luke 2:1-7 &14

We get to hear the classic story of Jesus being born in the stable that special night.  The story will also address why Mary & Joseph had to make the trip to Bethlehem and things we must keep in mind about their journey. Luke 10:18-20

Can the toys we get for Christmas bring us some joy? Yes they can, BUT is that joy everlasting? We find that if our joy is placed in a thing, that often that joy slowly fades. Things are not able to satisfy this joy b/c the joy is meant to come from JESUS! Jesus himself is our joy. This joy will never change, fade, or break. In today's reading, we hear Jesus telling us we can rejoice b/c our names are written in heaven. WOW! That's an everlasting joy.

Hebrews 2:14-15
