ON THIS week's podcast, we chat to Kilbrittain forward Bertie Butler after the club won the Munster Junior Hurling Championship title over Kilrossanty (2-17 to 0-9).
They became the first West Cork club to win a hurling provincial championship of any kind since 2005.
Butler himself scored 1-3 in the final while Mark Hickey got 1-9.
This has been a marvelous year for Kilbrittain, having won their seventh championship match on the spin in their hurling journey.
An All-Ireland semi-final is still to be played a week before Christmas so the magic may not be done yet and Butler, as shown in the interview, is thrilled.
Kilmacabea were another club to win silverware over the weekend as they saw off Donoughmore in the Junior A Football Championship county final, 1-14 to 1-7.
This has been a long time coming but finally the men from Leap and Glandore broke their duck and will be playing in the county Premier Junior Football Championship in 2026.
