We're baaaaaack after a 3 week hiatus. Brynn was in Switzerland, kicking off her luxurious holiday with an Audemars Piguet press trip, proceeding to travel the Swiss countryside, then ending it all with a press trip with Girard-Perregaux, in which she and MALAIKA were reunited! This episode has no watch news or celebrity watch spotting, it's just a good ol' chin wag.

Hello hello and welcome to Episode 8, which is one of Malaika's lucky numbers.

This week in Watch News we discuss a few new releases, including the blue ceramic Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and the Urwerk UR-100V ULTRAVIOLET.

For Watch Spotting, we discuss Timotay Chalamay's Cartier moment at the Venice Film Festival... and his RED HALTER TOP RED CARPET moment.  We also discuss Zendaya at the US Open, Bowen Yang wearing Massena Lab, Liz Truss's fake Piaget and Jerry Seinfeld's f*ckboy KITH campaign. (We also discuss the Queen briefly. RIP. We recorded this the evening prior to her passing.)

Then we get into the meat and potatoes of the pod, which is, of course, talking about press trips. Brynn went out east with Longines for the Hampton Classic horse show and came up on a watch.

Malaika feasted on the raw bar in the Rolex suite at the US Open and saw Serena's (maybe) last victory on the court. Later in the week, Brynn had pigs in a blanket at the Rolex suite at the US Open and was in the front row watching their 18-year old testimonee and absolute powerhouse, Coco Gauff.

For Episode 6, we dive into watch news and share Malaika’s big announcement – joining HODINKEE as their Style Editor! Next, we give our take on the Supreme x Rolex rumors – diving into an actual release, which is the new Seiko x Supreme clock – and reminisce about Beanie Babies. Watch spotting this week is all about Cartier Baignoire babes, both past and present.  Malaika was out of town for Monterey Car week with Rolex, hence why this episode is coming out better late than never. But you get to live vicariously through her luxurious trip to the California coast. We conclude by gushing overt the world’s largest collection of Patek Philippe Electronic Clocks, presented by Collectability in NYC. Stay till the end for a little Love Island surprise. 

This week, we discuss the ménage à quatre collab that is RUF x Bamford x Highsnobiety TAG Heuer watch and the newest edition to the Grand Seiko Sport Collection.
