Do you know Christ or do you just know ABOUT Christ? I believe the answer to that question has eternal implications. It is not an uncommon reality for people to know ABOUT Christ, thinking they actually know Christ. However, when one looks at their life, no life change is obvious. To know Christ is to be transformed. Join us Sunday as we explore the topic of knowing Christ.

Did you know you are not the only one who has to walk through wilderness moments? Your neighbor does too. When you discover your neighbor is walking through wilderness, how do you treat them? Do you view them as valuable? Do they need you? Jesus gives us an illustration of how to respond when our neighbor is in wilderness. Our lesson is this: We need wilderness connections.

When we walk through the wilderness experiences of life, it seems we NEED a lot. Perhaps too often our wants slip over into needs. And when we don't get what we want it's easy to become angry or frustrated. But what if the truth is we have everything we need in the wilderness...if the Shepherd is with us? I believe David discovered this to be a reality. This Sunday, we will look at Psalm 23 and find that with the Shepherd, we can have wilderness without wanting.

What do people see in you as you are walking through the wilderness? Anger? Bitterness? Gentleness? Sweetness? Can you, do you, trust God when you are in the wilderness? The wilderness truly reveals who we are. Is it possible that the wilderness is a faith witness to those around us? We will look at the life of David and one of his wilderness experiences to learn about wilderness and faith witness.

Have you ever been to the desert...a real desert? It's pretty impressive! Dry, barren, rugged and HOT! Have you ever had a desert experience in your life, where challenges and difficulties seemed to be the "new normal?" Maybe it was a spiritually dry time where God seemed to be distant. Whatever the case, we all have gone through personal desert experiences. The Bible has many stories which are directly connected to the desert. There are lessons we can learn from desert experiences. God can use our wilderness experiences to teach us and shape us.

Do you realize that to become a follower of Christ means you are entering a battle? Everyone who is "in Christ" has a mortal enemy who is determined to defeat us. His name is Satan. But God, in His grace and mercy, has not left us unequipped for battle. He has provided us with armor so that we can stand when the enemy wages war. Our responsibility is to Armor Up!

Work. Maybe not your favorite word. But all of us are to do it. Work is a biblical ethic. Paul addresses the slaves and masters in Ephesus and, in essence, tells them that as Spirit-filled believers, the workplace should be positively impacted. No longer were they to behave in the workplace as they did before knowing Christ. The application for us today is Employers and Employees. We will discover that being "in Christ" will impact the workplace, whether one is an employer or employee.

Everyone has their own ideas about family and raising children. Our own upbringing ha no doubt influenced the way we, as parents, parent. It's likely that at some point, every parent wishes there was a detailed manual on raising children and on how to be a good parent. There is no set formula. However, the Bible does have basic principles which can be put into practice so that we raise our Children for Christ. Join us as we study Ephesians 6:1-4.

In the context of being "in Christ" and living under the control of the Holy Spirit, the Apostle Paul shares his Spirit-inspired words on marriage. How does a Spirit-filled husband and wife live within the covenant of marriage? What Paul teaches may surprise you. He likes the word "submit." It may not be what you think it is. In this letter from Paul, we will see the connection between marriage and the Church.

"Who's in charge?" This is a question that is often asked when there is chaos happening in a particular situation. We like to know the answer to this question so we can either (a) Know who to complain to, or (b) Get an answer. When it comes to our lives, God wants to e in control of them. Not necessarily so we can complain, but so we can have the right answers for life. When His Holy Spirit is the controller of our lives, we will be able to live in alignment with God's plan for us. I ask you, "Who's in charge?"
