I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Wednesday morning, the 29th of November, 2023, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. 

We start in that beautiful book, Isaiah 9:6: 

“For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Then confirmation of that is Matthew 28:18: 

“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.” 

Wow, folks, we are talking about a government that shall never fail, and as we enter the Christmas season, we remember the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. I want to tell you that the government which the Master, Himself, will head up will be a government that will remain honest. It will deliver everything that it has promised. Everything He said, He shall do, and He has already done. Every promise He has made, He shall keep. The only thing left now is the great day of inauguration, the induction, and I tell you what, I cannot wait! Oh, when we look around, we see the world governments falling apart, making false promises, telling lies to the people, sometimes trying to bribe them to vote for them, and yet the Prince of Peace is coming back soon.

Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
The Everlasting Father and the Prince of Peace is He.

Father, 

I pray for my friends today, that they will lift up their heads and they will see that there is a government coming into this world, and the leader is Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace.

Lord, we have nothing to fear. I pray for my friends that they will keep focused today on the soon-coming King,
