The mission of the Colson Center for Christian Worldview is to ignite hope by informing, equipping, and uniting the Body of Christ to live a Christian Worldview in the cultural moment.  Originally founded by political culprit turned evangelical culture champion Charles Colson, it is difficult to imagine if Colson, when setting the mission and course for the Colson Center, could have imagined how far adrift American culture would sail from objective truth.

In today's episode, the second in what will be three critically imporant episodes, KCC listeners will once more hear from two Colson Fellows, Susan Leonard and Nathan Johnson.  Leonard and Johnson continue to answer questions posed by both educators and parents who are seeing the state of cultural decay and unbridled secularism creeping into school campuses--even Christian schools--and wondering what, if anything, can be done to change course.

The two also put forward the concept of the "fact value split" and discuss the devastating impact this insidious notion is having in our homes, churches, schools, and, yes, dare we say it, even our Christian schools.

Where have all the young men gone?  And, while we're asking tough questions of universities, where's the money gone?  Since 1960, the percentages of young men enrolling in university has fallen significantly.  At the same time, statistics have shown that post-university earnings potentials are also on the decline.  What is happening?

To help us make sense of these tough topics, Tom and Lindy Schneider, of America's College Advisors, provide some key insights that will help students and their family navigate these difficult questions.  With a career in sales and marketing, Tom helped establish a thriving alternative model of schooling in Washington state that has been commended by the U.S. Department of Education.  Lindy is an author with ten different titles that have appeared on the New York Times best seller list.

In the last twenty years, the cost of college has sky-rocketed!  Considered the "cheapest" route in higher ed, in-state universities, across the U.S., have seen a 211% increase in annual tuition.  This has led to what many consider to be a student debt crisis.

How does a family afford this option for students?  More specifically, is college still worth the investment after such a price point explosion?

From posts in schools like Phoenix Seminary and Arizona Christian University, author and professor Dr. John DelHousaye has championed extensive research and academic study  in what most would consider to be critical areas of understanding for Christ followers: Jesus Christ, the gospels, the patristics, mysticism, rhetoric, and spiritual formation.  In today's episode of Kingdom Culture Conversation, the second of two parts, DelHousaye begins de-mystifying these critical subjects, uncloaking the idea of spiritual formation in layman's terms.

It is unquestionably a dystopian classic:  George Orwell's "Animal Farm".  This brief book paints a poignant picture of Stalinism run rampant in culture using simple, almost amusing, allegorical images of animals living on a farm in turn-of-the-century England.

It's a book that has been required reading for high school students for generations.  So how is it that we have, almost unwittingly, allowed this cautionary tale to be the clearest picture of our contemporary society?

Dr. Matt Spivey is the Chair of the English and Communication Department at Arizona Christian University.  A published author of journal articles that wrestle with Austrian economics and dystopian society, he will lead a Kingdom Culture Conversation today that will certainly grab your attention.

Avatar broke all the box office records.  And, this Christmas, we will launch into the first of five scheduled sequels:  Avatar 2:  The Way of Water.

But, as we'll learn today, secular media have dubbed James Cameron (Titanic, Terminator, Avatar), the director and producer, as "Pastor Cameron" and Avatar has been described as a big budget "sermon".

If that is the case, what is it that James Cameron is preaching?  What sermon is being delivered through the Avatar movies?
