It seemed as though the earth shook on May 2nd, 2022 when Politico published an alleged "leak" from the U.S. Supreme Court: a February 2022 draft of a majority opinion, written by Justice Samuel Alito, which would overturn Roe v. Wade, a travesty of justice which has permitted the deaths of over 60 million unborn babies since 1973.
Is the draft legitimate? Is the legal judgment sound? What would have motivated someone to leak the draft? If it's true that Roe is history, what does that mean for abortion in the United States?
Erik Stanley is with the Provident Law Group, an attorney and religious liberty champion who has twice argued cases before the U.S. Supreme Court. In today's Kingdom Culture Conversation, Erik breaks down the history of the case that produced the opinion and its implications for the future of the caustic pro-life/pro-choice debate.
