Rylee continues his new series breaking down lessons we can learn as entrepreneurs by reading the creation story in Genesis.

Isn’t it interesting how two different people can look at the same painting and have two completely different perspectives of it?  Isn’t it crazy how two people can be in the same crummy situation, yet one moves and acts based on what they physically see while the other is unfazed by that crummy situation?  Perspective can be dictated by what you see, or perspective can be established before you ever physically even see anything.  Oftentimes we make decisions based on what we see and we move based on what’s in front of us.  Our sight dictates our thoughts and our thoughts dictate our actions.  This isn’t always bad, but what if what you see actually becomes a hindrance to your vision?  I see this happen constantly and watch dreams, goals, and aspirations fall by the wayside for those who had a vision, but let their sight hinder it.  

What would’ve happened if David acted based on what he saw?  Everyone saw this 9 foot giant named Goliath wreaking havoc amongst the people of God and were petrified.  Their perspectives were, “He’s too big to be defeated!”  David saw Goliath and his perspective was, “He’s too big for me to miss!” How incredible is that?!  David acted not based on his sight, but rather on vision. David’s vision came from a faith in God, a confidence in God’s plan, a trust that God would lead the way in victory, and the calling God placed on his life!

I am grateful to have been born into a period of time in human history known as the “Information Age.”  The past 50 years or so has been called the “Information Age” because of the availability and instant access to knowledge that would have been difficult or impossible to find previously. I read books, I listen to books, I take digital courses, I listen to podcasts, and out of the estimated 8.5 billion Google search queries daily, I’m responsible for more than a handful of those. I’m an information junkie! But what if I told you the most effective and impactful information I’ve ever come across when it comes to creating a successful business comes from the most read book of all time, even before the “Information Age”?

That’s right, the book I’m talking about is the Bible!  The Bible is our “owner’s manual” to life.  It’s filled with blueprints, principles, and instructions for how to operate successfully in life, and you don’t even have to search far into scripture to find the first template God gives us.  All you have to do is open up to page 1… Genesis chapter 1… starting in verse 1.

Genesis 1 lays out the God-given blueprint of how to successfully create ANYTHING and I personally use this blueprint for my businesses, for my marriage, and for my household.  It’s simple, it’s applicable, and it’s available for all of us!

In this episode I’ll give an overview of God’s 7 Days of Creation, then, over the following 7 weeks, unpack each day one day at a time.

Now that we understand success, what is our purpose?

In part three of this series, Rylee and Christian review biblical success, knowing that we all run the race to win, but are we doing what God called us to do?

The key here is knowing that as Christians, we will never feel fulfillment until we have a relationship with Christ.

From there, we have to understand that he created us to be in a relationship with him and with others and that after the fall of Adam and Eve, we’re here to restore those things that were only perfect for a short amount of time. We do this by surrendering our lives and clinging to him.

It all starts with that leap of faith, even when it’s hard, and even when the enemy targets us once we step into our calling. Once we show up, so will God, and he will take care of us as we walk in our purpose.
