What role does the power of God play in how we live our lives and love others? In Haggai 1 we see how the power and presence of God provides comfort in our worries and empowers us for our mission and purpose in the world.

We’re back in the Old Testament! We begin a new teaching series through the short-yet-powerful book of Haggai. The prophet Haggai’s message to Israel 2600 years ago is just as relevant to us in 21st century Orange County: that true purpose and flourishing begins with a big vision of who God is, what he is doing, and how we can be a part of it.

We begin in Haggai 1:1-11 and take a look at what it means to consider our ways and how we prioritize our time and our work.

‪”Twas grace that brought ‬us safe thus far.‬

‪And grace ‬will lead us home.”

What hope do we have when we feel discouraged or like we can never measure up? How do we make sense of the fact that God is sovereign in all He does and yet we are still responsible for all we do? In John 6:35-40 we answer these questions from the Scriptures as we conclude our series through the great doctrines of grace.

How does the Holy Spirit apply the sovereign grace of God to the hearts of rebels like us? What does God do to soften our hearts and make us His own?

In John 3:1-8 we continue our series through the reformed doctrines of grace and learn what it means when we say His grace is simply irresistible.
