In this episode, we look at how we, as Christians, are to use our faculty of reasoning. There is a popular misconception in the Church today, that reasoning is bad or that it’s opposed to our faith, but we look throughout scripture to see, not only why our reasoning is necessary but also why the Lord desires for us to use it. God gave us this faculty for a reason and He expects us to use it, it’s our job to use it in the right way. Our reasoning has a different foundation from that of people in the world and when we build on the right foundation, and reason using the Word of God, we will glorify God.

In this episode, we look at what exactly we mean by the plague of our heart. We all have something that besets us, we all have something that is afflicting us, something we struggle with. We go throughout scripture to look at what what we should do when this is the case and we look at the remedy that God has prescribed for us. It is never God’s will for us to live our lives bound by affliction and struggles. These times will come but God helps us and He has made a way for us to be loosed from our bounds so we can be set free. 

In this episode, we see how we as Christians, can overcome the flesh. Once we become born again, the devil is not our only enemy. Our sin nature also wars against our new renewed, redeemed nature, causing us to experience inner conflict. A war begins, and we’re constantly fighting battles, not only with the devil but also with ourself. It is necessary for us to learn how we can overcome our flesh, and when we do, God will bring us out of the battles of this life victorious. God has made a way for our flesh to be subdued, so that our spirit can rightly be in control. Let’s make the choice today to overcome the flesh.

In this episode, we look at what exactly it means to grieve the Holy Spirit. This is something that we are never to do. In the Church today, this is spoken about far too casually, which undermines what it actually is and the importance it holds. Grieving the Holy Spirit is not what most people assume it is, in this episode we go in depth in the scripture to see what exactly it means, so we know what to avoid. We are never meant to grieve the Spirit, we are called to bless and serve the Spirit. Let’s make the choice to answer this calling today.

In this episode, we look at two different types of faith, these are expecting faith and resting faith. We look at the differences between these two and we see how one should lead to the other. We should not only expect the promises of God to unfold in our lives, we also need to rest in the promises because we know that God is bringing them to pass in our lives right now. Once we get to the point of resting faith, we will find that the burden has lifted and we will be able to receive and enjoy the blessings that God has for us. Let’s make the choice today to operate in expecting and resting faith.

In this episode, we look at what Paul had to say about the Cretian people at that time. He had a few charges against them, he said they were always liars, evil beasts and slow bellies. These are serious accusations to make, we look at these in depth to see exactly what they mean, and we look at how the same problems that existed amongst the Cretians then plague the Church today. Then we look at how we can resolve these problems in our own time. Let’s make the choice today to be the change that the Church needs to see.

In this episode, we study the importance of wars and rumors of war and how they influence our walk of faith. We look throughout scripture to see how we should respond to these things as Christians. Our response should be noticeably different from the world’s response. While the people of the world are worried, anxious and fearful, we’re able to maintain our peace, hope and joy. God will protect us no matter what may happen in the world, and it’s our job to continue to follow His will even in the midst of wars and rumors of wars.

In this episode, we look at opening the spiritual ear, we look at how we do it and why it’s important that we do so. We look at Jesus healing the deaf and dumb man and see that the man did not only leave with his natural hearing restored but also his spiritual healing. Then we look at why the Lord heals our spiritual hearing. God speaks to us through our spirit, so it’s crucial to our walk of faith that we let the Lord open our spiritual ear.

In this episode, we look at the call to serve the Lord, that we have each received as Christians. There is not a single Christian in the world that is not meant to have a ministry of service in some capacity. Our lives are defined by service. We look at what the Lord told the Israelites when they were building the temple, and see how they responded and the different ways they used their gifts and abilities to serve. We need to understand our calling and we need to discern how we are to serve. Then we need to act on our calling by making the choice to serve the Lord.

In this episode, we look at what it means to guard our soul, and why we need to do it. We look at each element of the soul, and how exactly we can go about guarding it. We need to guard our minds, emotions and will. Each of these are areas through which the enemy seeks to attack us, and in order to overcome the enemy we need to know his playbook. We look at what the devil is really after and how we rebuke him and keep him away. Let’s make the choice today to guard our souls.
