In this episode, we look at the importance of forgiveness. We all know that as the people of God, we need forgiveness from God, we need it from others and we need to give it to others. We look at what exactly it is and how it works so that we’ll know when we experience it and also how to give it to others. Forgiveness is one of the fundamentals of our faith, and the better we understand it, the better we’ll be able to live out our faith. We’re called to forgive those who’ve wronged us, the same way that God forgave us. Let’s make the choice today to enjoy the forgiveness of God and forgive those around us.
In this episode, we look at the lives of Moses and Jesus. We see that right from the very beginning of their lives they had many similarities, and we go throughout scripture to look at the other similarities they shared, especially their obedience to the will of God. We look at what made them different, most importantly as it relates to the mission that Christ came to accomplish. This year as we celebrate the birth and life of Christ, and enjoy this season of giving, let’s take this opportunity to give God the gift of obedience just like Moses and Jesus did.
In this episode, we look at the importance of mercy and grace. We go throughout scripture to see what exactly they are, how they’re similar and how they’re different. We look at why God gives us these great gifts and what they mean for our day to day lives. It’s important that we understand what these things are so that we have a better and deeper understanding of our faith. God wants us to enjoy the full benefits of His mercy and grace, all we need to do is receive it. Let’s make the choice today to embrace the mercy and grace we’ve been given.
In this episode, we look at the importance of temperance. We go throughout scripture to see why we need to be temperate, what it means and what it looks like in our day to day lives. We are commanded to be temperate, it’s not something that’s a choice or an option, we must have it. It’s critical to the strength of our faith that we have temperance in every area of our life, spirit, soul and body. This isn’t a command we should take lightly, it’s more than a value or virtue, it’s a fruit of the Spirit. When it manifests in our life, let’s make the choice to actively cultivate our temperance.
In this episode, we look at our need to get and stay prepared. We go into the scripture to look at the parable of the ten virgins, five of whom were wise and five of whom were foolish. We compare and contrast them and see where the foolish went wrong, so that we can guard ourselves from making the same mistakes. We go throughout scripture to see why exactly we need to be prepared and how doing so will only benefit us. God is always giving us opportunities to be used by Him but we have to be prepared if we want to be used to our fullest potential. Let’s make the choice today to get and stay prepared.
In this episode, we look at what exactly worship is. We look at why we do it, how we do it, and we look at the importance of worshipping at all times no matter what the conditions in the natural are around us. We go throughout scripture to look at the accounts of Job and Hannah to see how they continued to worship even while enduring hard conditions. Worshipping should never be something that we base off of what’s going on around us, it should be something that we’re always ready and willing to do, so we can show our respect and adoration for God.
In this episode, we look at the grave mistake Felix made when speaking to Paul. He heard the gospel, but wouldn’t make a decision. He chose to wait for a convenient season, and that convenient season never came. We look through scripture to understand why he thought this way, because we all know people in our lives who do the same thing when hearing the gospel, they just push off the decision to another time, a time that never comes. With God it’s always the right moment, today is the day of salvation. Let’s continue to spread the Gospel to those around us and tell them of their need to seize their opportunity to come to God.
In this episode, we look at the call that God gave Nehemiah to rebuild the city of Jerusalem and the walls around it. We also look at the harsh opposition that he faced, mainly from Tobiah and Sanballat, who were continually working against him. We can find many similarities between what Nehemiah went through and what we go through as born-again believers. The attacks may look different but the principles behind them are the same and the enemy orchestrating them is the same. There are many battles and attacks that we’ll face in life, so it’s important that we follow Nehemiah’s example to
overcome the enemy.
In this episode, we look at our debt of love that we not only owe to God, but also to others. Christ perfectly fulfilled our debts on Calvary, on our behalf, but we still owe this one solitary debt of love. We look at what this actually means for us, and how we can let our paying of this debt manifest in our day to day life. We look at the importance of love and how the type of love referred to is agape love, the highest form of love, love that is unconditional, self-sacrificial, and love that is done in action. Let’s make the decision today to pay our debt of love.
In this episode, we look at the importance of understanding revival. We look at Ezra’s revival and see how it started, what made it the great revival that it was, and the effect that it had on God’s people. There are certain conditions that are present when a revival is about to spring forth and we find these same conditions present today. We are right on the brink of a great move of God. The better we understand revival, the more prepared we’ll be when it comes. God wants to use each of us in a great way in this next move of God. Let’s make the choice today to understand revival.
