In this episode of Kintinu’d Conversations, Brad Dexter, Claire Thelen, and Tim Benak welcome Tess Sunderland to the podcast. Tess shares her journey over the last 10+ years of living with a brain injury. Twelve years ago, a lightning bolt came out of a mostly clear sky and struck the young archaeologist while on a dig in New Mexico. In this episode of Kintinu’d Conversations, Brad Dexter, Claire Thelen, and Tim Benak welcome Kent Templien to the podcast.
Templien was deer hunting on his property near Tecumseh, NE when he had a roll-over accident. He had seen another hunter on his land, got in his UTV and planned to speak with him. But as he approached, a front tire on the UTV fell off a terrace. The vehicle rolled, throwing Templien, who was not wearing a seat belt. After an initial hospital stay and plenty of hard work over the next four years in rehabilitation, Templien has found himself on his feet again. He no longer uses a wheelchair. Instead, he uses a rolling walker and has found many ways to be engaged in his family and community life.
