• Trump is reviewing Iran’s proposed plan in between posting about how low IQ Bill Maher is and comparing him to a less funny Jimmy Kimmel. The IRGC says Trump “must choose between an impossible military operation or a bad deal”
• Israel has approved a deal to buy F35 and F15 fighter jets from Lockheed and Boeing which equates to an approximately $118B deal
• Russian drone strikes have killed 10 in Ukraine as Zelensky says have struck oil tankers and a terminal
• Two US Servicemembers are missing in Morocco after military exercises. The two were on a hike after the day’s activities and a search and rescue operation has been launched
• US Attorney Jeanine Pirro, former Fox News host, claims she has proof the secret service member shot at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner was done so by the suspect
• Danco Laboratories filed an emergency request with the Supreme Court to immediately pause a lower court ruling that blocks mail-order access to mifepristone
• The $400M ballroom that would be paid for by donations from Meta, Apple, Google and so on with deductible donations might be paid by taxpayers. Lindsey Graham said he’s introducing legislation for you and me to pay for it instead. Don’t forget to vote him out by voting for Dr Annie Andrews

• Kentucky Derby was yesterday and Golden Tempo defeating 23-1 odds and making trainer Cherie DeVaux the first female trainer to win the Derby
• Captain Jon Jackson who was supposed to fly his last Spirit Airlines flight and retire. His son mentioned to the Southwest pilots that it was supposed to be his last flight and when they landed in Baltimore, they were welcomed with a traditional water cannon, cheering employees and passengers in the terminal and a bottle of bubbly. • In Lebanon, the death toll after 2 months is now 2,659, with 8,183 people injured, another 41 in the last 24 hours. Israeli forces also killed 7 in Gaza in the last 24 hours with their current death toll since October 7, 2023 to 72,608. Since their so-called ceasefire in October, 828 people have been killed. Israel has also just carried out further air attacks in Lebanon and set fire to a number of houses
• Iran is working on a new law on managing the Strait of Hormuz and it includes preventing Israeli ships from passing
• Spirit Airlines has shut down.
• The US is withdrawing 5,000 troops from Germany
• New York Archdiocese has offered $800M to settle sex abuse claims from approximately 1300 survivors
• Trump was all over social media posting AI images of himself and being a racist
• Trump says we might take over Cuba

• Federal Appeals Court has rejected access to abortion pills via mail
• Trump is not happy with the new proposal from Iran and said we might just not be able to get to a deal
• Trump also said today that the US has already won the war but he wants to win by a bigger margin
• Israeli attacks have killed 12 more in Lebanon
• Trump said he’s hiking tariffs on cars from the EU from 15% to 25% starting in July
• Spirit Airlines is set to fold but Trump confirmed today that he’s sent over a final proposal to them
• Pope Leo has appointing Bishop Evelio Menjivar-Ayala to lead West Virginia Catholics
• Pizza Hut is bringing back it’s book program!

- Republicans have said Trump can decide on whether he needs to ask for permission from Congress to extend the war

- Israel is intensifying their strikes against Lebanon. They have demolished a monastery and a nuns’ school. This after blowing up homes, shops, roads and various landmarks in the town

Iran has sent over a new proposal

- The Dept of Defense has signed agreements with SpaceX, OpenAI, Google, Microsoft, Nvidia, Amazon Web Services, and Reflection to integrate their AI models into the military. Note that Anthropic was excluded. Hegseth wants the US military to be an “AI first fighting force”

- According to Politico, the Department of Education is claiming the Biden administration was anti Christian and treated Christian universities unfairly but the the report did not mention Trump’s ties to these schools or that some of these efforts started during the first Trump administration

- The Dept of Education has opened an investigation against Stanford based on discrimination

- Elon Musk made over $158B last year

• The House has passed a budget to fund DHS and end the partial government shutdown did not include funding for ICE
• Donnie Jr and his finance have decided it wouldn’t able appropriate to have a big White House wedding with a war raging
• This afternoon Trump says he has not ruled out resuming attacks on Iran.
• This morning I said 14 people in Lebanon were killed and that’s now up to 32 because of Israeli strikes
• Hegseth is claiming that since there’s a ceasefire, the deadline for Congressional approval is on hold
• Congress has approved an extension allowing US intelligence agencies to conduct warrantless surveillance
• The Senate unanimously approved a ban on senators and their staff from trading on prediction markets
• Tennessee Governor Bill Lee spoke to Trump today and wants to do his part in gerrymandering his state
• E. Jean Carroll won a civil suit against Trump for sexually abusing her for $83M. He appealed and now wants his name removed and replaced with the Department of Justice

• Earlier today I mentioned that today is day 60 of the war in Iran. Under the War Powers Act of 1973, the President must terminate the use of Armed Forces in hostilities within 60 days of notifying Congress of military action unless Congress declares war, authorizes the use of military force, or grants a 30-day extension. Senator Adam Schiff of California is introducing the 6th war powers resolution tomorrow
• Lebanon’s Prime Minister says Israel’s killing of civil defense members is a new war crime
• An arrest warrant has been issued for ex FBI director James Comey
• Trump is putting his face and signature on US passports that will be issued around June through the summer to commemorate 250 years
• The FCC is reviewing Disney’s broadcast licenses
• The US soldier who has been charged with fraud after he made $400K on Polymarket with his bet on Maduro’s kidnapping has pled not guilty

• Iran has opened 6 airports amid the ceasefire yet Trump posted that they called him and said they’re in a state of collapse
• UAE has left OPEC
• Two more people have been killed in Gaza city after Israeli attacks
• Kid Rock and Secretary Hegseth went on some Apache helicopter joy rides
• The DOJ has filed a motion overnight against the National Trust, the lawsuit trying to shut down the ballroom construction
• Trump is accelerating the deportation of unaccompanied migrant children, speeding up the process by weeks and even months. Children as young as 4 years of age are having to appear in court, at times without legal help. The spokesman for DHHS says many of the children were at risk for trafficking and exploitation, so this should disrupt those systems
• A series of raids on businesses are being conducted in the Minneapolis area as part of an ongoing fraud investigation
• I want to share with you a quote I read last night in Theo of Golden that I posted about: “Every hurt the world has ever known is somehow the fault of every person who ever lived. Maybe not directly and never entirely, but somehow, I fear, we own all of the world’s hurts together.”

Kitchen Briefs - April 27, 2026 PM

• Katie Phang, who is an independent journalist, legal analyst and trial lawyer and whom I call friend is the first journalist to sue the DOJ for violating the Epstein files transparency act. The suit claims the DOJ missed deadlines, did excessive or improper redactions without explanation and withheld key documents. The suit calls for all documents released and all unnecessary redactions removed
• More good news is that National Trust will not back down on their suit against Trump and his $400M ballroom even after the DOJ pressured them
• Trump and his top security people are reviewing Iran’s proposal
• Shooting suspect Cole Thomas Allen was charged today with the attempted assassination of Trump. He was also charged with transportation of a firearm or ammunition in interstate commerce, and discharge of a firearm during a crime of violence
• Karoline Leavitt delayed her maternity leave to give a press conference and covered how Melania and Trump are upset over Jimmy Kimmel’s comments and how despicable it is that Americans refer to Trump as a fascist and compare him to Hitler
• King Charles and Queen Camilla have arrived for a 4 day visit kicking off with tea with Trump and Melania
• Taylor Swift has filed to trademark her voice and image after AI concerns
