  • Atlantic girls roll past Greene County, earn date with Cherokee, Washington
The Atlantic girls basketball team rolled to a 65-29 win over Greene County in the Class 3A Region 1 Quarterfinals on Saturday night at the Atlantic High School. The Trojans didn't shoot the ball particularly well in the first quarter but got warmed up after that and used pressure defense to force the Rams into 21 turnovers. Atlantic led 37-24 at half and forced the running clock situation towards the end of the third. After the game Atlantic senior Lauren Nicholas said the team enjoys using that pressure defense
