In today's episode, I had a conversation with American professional triathlete Marc Dubrick, who secured victory at the 2023 Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon and finished 8th at the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Lahti. Marc is a humorous and personable individual who pursues his profession as a professional athlete with passion, viewing triathlon to a large extent as a team sport.
I talk to Marc about his athletic background as a swimmer and runner, his past as a short-distance athlete, his transition to the middle distance in 2023, his takeaways from the 2023 season, and his athletic and personal goals for 2024.
Additionally, we discuss his cycling training, the Real Triathlon Squad, his new podcast with Ben Kanute, and the role of professional athletes as role models.
Marc will be at the starting line twice more in 2023, in Indian Wells and Ecuador, and we, of course, wish him the best of luck.

In der heutigen Folge habe ich mit dem amerikanischen Profitriathleten Marc Dubrick gesprochen, der 2023 Sieger des Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon und 8ter bei der Ironman 70.3 WM in Lahti wurde. Marc ist ein witziger und sympathischer Zeitgenosse, der seinen Job als Profiathlet mit Leidenschaft ausübt und den Triathlon zu einem großen Teil auch als Teamsport sieht. I
Ich rede mit Marc über seinen sportlichen Hintergrund als Schwimmer und Läufer, seine Vergangenheit als Kurzdistanzathlet, seinen im Jahr 2023 vollzogenen Wechsel auf die Mitteldistanz, seine Takeaways aus der Saison 2023 und über seine sportlichen und persönlichen Ziele im Jahr 2024.
