At least six children and three women living in a faith-based community of U.S. citizens in Mexico were shot to death Monday. The brazen daylight ambush is believed to have been carried out by gunmen affiliated with the cartels. The victims were all dual Mexican and U.S. citizens and were traveling back to the U.S. when they were ambushed. The gunmen may have mistaken the SUV convoy for rival gangs. This website Janz4mayor.com redirected to a donation page for Jerry Dyer for Mayor. The owner of the website, who has no political affiliation, calls in to KMJ to explain his perspective and confirms the satirical perspective of the site. Where do you land? Serious or Satirical?

House Democrats will for the first time vote on impeachment procedures on Thursday. Democrats are aiming to wrap up the impeachment process before the Iowa caucuses in early February. Democrats have insisted they did not need to hold a floor vote to launch the impeachment inquiry itself, despite calls for such a vote from the White House and Republicans. Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai announced that the agency will vote on an order to ban carriers from using federal subsidies to purchase equipment or services from Huawei or ZTE. Google Maps is adding the ability for people to report where police are hiding, vehicle crashes and traffic jams on its app. Map applications have received criticism from law enforcement in the past for allowing users to share an officer’s location. Do you think this information will hurt or help? PG&E confirmed that its equipment may have been responsible for two more fires that broke out in the Bay Area during its Public Safety Power Shutoff over the weekend. The two fires are the second and third fires reported to the CPUC in less than five days which appear to be linked to broken PG&E equipment.

Senator Bernie Sanders has announced he wants to Federally legalize marijuana and expunge records of those who have marijuana convictions across the country. The money generated would be used for businesses from minority entrepreneurs only. Bernie also wants to ban tobacco and cigarette companies from participating in the marijuana industry. A Michigan couple with seven children and 21 grandchildren has claimed an $80 million Powerball prize. The couple opted to receive their payment as a one-time lump-sum, which came to $42 million after taxes. Plans for their winnings include buying homes for each of their children.

Joe Biden's campaign team forgot to scoop up the social media handles and web domain for his Latin outreach campaign called, "Todos Con Biden" which translates to "Everyone With Biden". The Trump campaign purchased the domain and is now using it to troll the former vice president. Can you hear me now? Rudy Giuliani, current personal lawyer to President Donald Trump, butt dialed a reporter’s phone on more than one occasion. He left a message where he could be overheard in a conversation about fraud, talking negatively about the Biden’s, and about his need for cash.

Actor Ted Danson was all smiles as he was arrested at the Capitol for blocking the street after he, Jane Fonda, and other demonstrators called on Congress for action to address climate change. Today Governor Newsom declared a state of emergency in Los Angeles and Sonoma Counties due to the effects of the Kincaid and Tick fires. The Governor announced that the state secured federal Fire Management Assistance Grants enable local, state and tribal agencies to recover eligible costs. He also held a public briefing regarding the need to hold utilities accountable for the consequences of their decisions to shut off power for large portions of the state.

Netflix says if you’re not paying your freeloading. A survey conducted late last year estimated that Netflix loses more than $135 million each month due to its customers sharing their passwords. The survey says millennials are the biggest offenders, with 35% sharing compared with 19% of Generation X and 13% of Baby Boomers. What do you think? Is sharing just caring?
