Kneel Before Pod

"Chapter 6"

The Legion podcasts continue with "Chapter 6". Aaron is missing in action again this week so Craig and Chris hold the fort and aimlessly discuss Legion.

As always the discussion veered off in many directions including a sizeable discussion about best selling songs in the 70s, Beauty and the Beast, the upcoming film Life and various other wonderful tangents.

Craig can be found on this very site and Chris can also be found on a Sunday between 12 and 3pm GMT live on Black Diamond FM as well as on many of the previous podcasts.

The 90s pop culture icon Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers is about to receive a high budget live action reboot in cinemas everywhere so talking about the show that birthed the franchise is definitely within Kneel Before Pod's wheelhouse.

Craig, Angus and Natalie got together to discuss several episodes of the show and discuss them at length. Everything is covered from the quality, cultural impact and most importantly of all, how silly they are. Not everyone enjoyed the experience of revisiting it but it did create an interesting chat.  The episodes discussed can be found below:

• "Day of the Dumpster"

Craig, Angus and Natalie can all be found as writers on this very site as well as being avid contributors to many of the podcasts.

"Chapter 5"

The Legion Podcast reviews continue with "Chapter 5" with a full team this week in the form of Craig, Chris and Aaron.

Now that the season is beyond the halfway point the show starts offering up some answers but also gives the viewer more questions to ponder. There were less tangents this week but still plenty. The discussion brought in Twin Peaks, the 90s X-Men cartoon, Angel and even The Muppets.

Craig and Aaron can be found on this very site and Chris can also be found on a Sunday between 12 and 3pm GMT live on Black Diamond FM as well as on many of the previous podcasts

Hugh Jackman recently -supposedly- ended his iconic tenure as the X-Men character Wolverine in James Mangold's Logan. To mark the occasion Craig, Angus and Natalie got together to discuss the film. Emotions ran high and there was a lot to say about the film, Hugh Jackman himself and a whole load of other barely/unconnected things that tend to come up during these discussions.

Craig, Angus and Natalie can all be found as writers on this very site as well as being avid contributors to many of the podcasts.

"Chapter 4"

The Legion podcast reviews continue with “Chapter 4” with Craig and Chris providing the discussion on the fourth episode.

As with all discussions this one was as varied as always with digressions into The Tomorrow People, Alice in Wonderland, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, The IT Crowd, other X-Men films. We start to get a feel for the confusing landscape that makes up this show now that we have reached the midway point of the first season.

Craig can be found on this very site and Chris can also be found on a Sunday between 12 and 3pm GMT live on Black Diamond FM.

The Legion podcast reviews continue with "Chapter 3" with Craig and Aaron providing the discussion on the third episode.

As with all discussions this one was as varied as always with digressions into The Tomorrow People, Alice in Wonderland, other X-Men films, Rocky, The Jetsons and all sorts of other tangents. We also continue to muddle through the confusing landscape that makes up this show.

Craig and Aaron can both be found on this very site

Our podcast reviews of Legion season 1 continue with the second episode, "Chapter 2". Craig and Chris get together to discuss their thoughts on the latest episode.

The discussion was as varied as you might expect with lots of discussion about memories, confusion, the X-Men and Patrick Stewart. We even touch on The Tomorrow People and Mr. Robot as well as the merits of vaping in this universe. We still don't know when the show is set or even half of what is going on but we muddle through.

Craig can be found on this very site and Chris can also be found on a Sunday between 12 and 3pm GMT live on Black Diamond FM.

"Chapter 1"

The new X-Men -sort of- spin-off begins with Legion and we decided to do a podcast review of every episode rather than the traditional written review. Craig, Aaron and Chris come together to deliver their collective thoughts about the opening episode on this new series.

As always the discussion goes all over the place with the comics, other superhero TV shows, superhero movies, rampant speculation, Legion the movie, Dominion the TV series based on that movie, the time period the show sets itself in and a whole raft of other random conversation topics.

• Legion in the comics

Recently, Craig caught up with David Haydn-Jones. He plays Mr. Ketch, British Men of Letters Agent in current episodes of Supernatural.

The conversation covered everything from the start of his career to the present day including guest spots on Charmed and Buffy the Vampire Slayer as well as his experience with former Pink Power Ranger, Amy Jo Johnson. He even had an amusing anecdote from the set of Supernatural.

Thanks to David for his time despite some connection issues. We all wish him the best of luck in the future and hope that his role on Supernatural continues to be significant.
