Kneel Before Pod

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was such a massive film that one podcast wasn't enough so Angus took over hosting duties while recruiting Aaron and Natalie to talk through their thoughts on the film. They cover everything from the prequels, the original trilogy, upcoming side films, Easter Eggs, CGI characters Star Wars Rebels and a whole host of other things. Join us in this second quest to tear apart this film and enjoy. If you like or even don't like having multiple podcasts on the same topic with different contributors then please do let us know so we can arrange to do more or less depending on public demand.

Show Notes

We were relatively light on notes but there were a few tangents that bear referencing in a little more detail that you can look over if you want to.

Instead of a written article about a classic Christmas film, we decided to bring you a podcast talking about a classic Christmas film. The chosen film was the 1996 Arnold Schwarzenegger movie Jingle All the Way with myself (Craig) and Chris getting together to discuss the film in great detail. We keep the tone light and the tongue firmly in our cheeks but this is a fun film that we both enjoy and hopefully we managed to bring that across.

Show Notes

• Santa With Muscles got a mention

The hot Christmas toy for 2016 - Hatchimals

• Previous Christmas classics Home Alone and Gremlins reviewed by me

The alien eggs that were all the rage years ago

• The mother who spent lots of money on her children for Christmas

The latest edition of Kneel Before Pod brought together me (Craig) and Chris to talk about the recent TV crossover event that brought together The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl and DC's Legends of Tomorrow to take on invading aliens. It was exciting to see how these characters would work together in a sprawling story that takes place across three episodes of television. It was so exciting that Chris and I just had to talk about it and we cover the events depicted in some detail.

Many things are covered such as how well Kara gets along with everyone, Ray's issues around who he is attracted to, how aliens appearing in traffic get covered up and the ease of multiverse travel. You can find my reviews of the individual episodes here.

Show Notes

• The tease of Supergirl/The Flash musical crossover

Star Wars is one of the biggest franchises in the world and the discussion we had came from different perspectives on being fans. Enjoy us heading into various tangents talking about random Star Wars merchandise, fan theories, amusing pictures and other stuff

Joseph Mallozzi, creator, writer and producer of Dark Matter, kindly gave us his time for this edition of the podcast and I used it to talk all things Dark Matter: season 3 currently in production, the influence of anime on his writing and even a couple of points closer to my heart: will Six have to face off against Anders again and just who was Three’s third gun ‘Pip’ named after?

Show Notes

I wish I’d had more knowledge of anime to better talk through his influences but here’re the ones he gave mention to:

• Cowboy Beebop – his particular recommendation for me to follow up

More details of Dark Matter season 3 can be found on Joe’s daily blog, where he regularly releases little teasers about characters, sets and plots to come. Joe can also be found on Twitter. You can also check out my season roundup of the first season and the episode reviews for season 2 right here on Kneel Before Blog.
