Knockbain Free Church of Scotland

We welcome Rev Davi de Paula from Smithton Free Church to continue our preparation for Communion on the Lord's Day.

We welcome Rev Mark Hughes from Avoch Congregational Church to help us prepare for the Communion services this weekend.

Today we hear about the solemn birthday of Herod which resulted in the death of John the Baptist. We discover that Herod would gladly hear John preached, just as many people who attend church are happy to hear the Gospel message. However, we discover that those Gospel message opportunities would end for Herod with the death of John the Baptist. It is a solemn reminder that we will not always have the opportunity to hear the Good News, so today is the day of Salvation, do not delay or wait to repent, believe and follow Jesus.

In a world full of war zones and conflicts, tonight we hear about the importance of peace within the Kingdom of Heaven. Those who are Christians and members of the church who have received the spiritual blessings, are to possess and practice blessed peace and be peacemakers. We are to have peace with God and the Peace of God.
