Taxable sales in Nevada jumped by 4 percent in September compared to the same month a year ago. Taxable sales reached nearly $5 billion with increases in 11 of 17 counties. Revenue at bars and restaurants were up more than 4 percent, and furniture sales up about 6 percent. More than $99 million in taxes was collected from statewide sales, an increase of nearly 5 percent compared to the same month last year.....
