A federal judge Monday sentenced Richard West the Second, to two years in prison on a single count of conspiracy to obtain a controlled substance for distribution, as part of a plea arrangement

Washoe County School District says there is no longer any lockdown at Turning Point School on Hunter Lake Drive, just west of Reno High School, after a Code Red gave way to a precautionary Code Yellow. Both lockdowns are lifted. School police say the first lockdown was ordered after a middle school-age student started acting erratically, grabbed fire extinguisher and started breaking things. Nobody was hurt, but there is property damage. School police are dealing with the student.....
