It's still hung up by court challenges, but the processes behind Nevada's Education Savings Account Program continue. The latest open enrollment for parents who want funding for private school and other education choices re-opened again at the beginning of May. State Treasurer Dan Schwartz says they continue to get calls and emails about the program, and already have 5000 applications on file. he says parents continue to demonstrate the need for the program, and he's hoping the courts make a decision soon, so families can proceed with their academic plans for the upcoming school year. Applications must be received by June 30th at 5pm. Details online at "NevadaTreasurer-dot-gov." Parents who applied during previous enrollment periods DO NOT have to re-apply.
