Thirty-one people have been killed since the wildfires began Sunday night in northern California, making this outbreak one of the deadliest in state history. Since Sunday, the deadly fires have leveled thousands of homes and forced evacuations in Northern California's wine country and produced unhealthy air quality in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The Washoe County School District says social media posts Tuesday night about a shooting at Shaw Middle School were unfounded, but, with that said, one juvenile was taken into custody and is being held at the Jan Evans Juvenile Justice Center in Reno on two charges, making threats or conveying false information concerning acts of terrorism and assaulting a pupil or school employee. The school had extra staff members on hand working with School Police to ensure the safety of children that attend the school on Wednesday.

A woman, who was shot during the 1 October shooting in Las Vegas, has filed a lawsuit against the Mandalay Bay casino Resort, and it's parent company, MGM Resorts International. The suit filed Monday by 21 year old Paige Gasper, who was shot in the chest and trampled by people running from the scene, says the casino was negligent because they allowed Stephen Paddock to stockpile guns in his room, and that the staff was not trained properly to notice that kind of suspicious activity. Live Nation Entertainment Inc., who organized the concert, bump stock maker Slide Fire Solutions LP, and the estate of Stephen Paddock are also named in the lawsuit.

The Sparks Police Department says they're searching for three men who tried to pass fake payroll checks at the Western Village Casino on October 2nd. The three men each went to different cashiers, but the quick thinking workers all realized the checks were fake, and refused to cash them.
