The Hunter Creek Trail fire in west Reno is at 250 acres and 35 percent contained. Firefighters are going after the fire with more air drops and hand crews.

Firefighters have a big job on their hands, as they try to get control of the Hunter Creek Fire, burning in steep, rugged terrain west of Reno. Truckee Meadows Fire Chief Charlie Moore describes their plan.....

100 to 150 homes affected by flash flooding in Mason Valley, according to Lyon County Manager Jeff Page. Emergency crews are working to identify if anyone needs help, but the flash flooding has left anywhere from 18 inches to two feet of water in places. According to Page, the area experiences flash flooding about every 2-3 years, but this is the worst seen in some time. The water came from a thunderstorm that hit the Mt. Grant and Bald Mountain ranges.

The Reno Fire Department reporting the Garson Fire is 70% contained. 141 acres and full containment is the goal by tomorrow. The Forest Service says the Evans Fire is 168 acres and is 65% contained.......

A 33-acre brush fire in Churchill County has been contained. Sierra Front reports the Alpine Fire burned near the Austin Highway. According to the Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center, the fire was reported Tuesday night by the Churchill County Sheriff's Office......
