The South Lake Tahoe Police Department said a woman reported missing April 3 has been found dead. Pamela Suwinsky, 62, was found dead in the Truckee River north of the Motel 6 on Lake Tahoe Boulevard where she was last seen. Cause of death is still pending and authorities called this an open investigation. Anyone with information related to this case is asked to contact the South Lake Tahoe Police Department.

Two separate, but related accidents, had Interstate 80 down to one lane last night. The first accident took place on eastbound I-80 near Hirschdale road. A car rolled in the area and the driver was transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries. The second accident occurred when a Bus driver who had seen the first accident, and stopped to direct traffic, was struck by an arriving CHP officer. The bus driver was transported to Renown with Moderate injuries.

Nevada's attorney general wants a judge to dismiss all but a narrow piece of a series of lawsuits accusing state forestry officials of mishandling a prescribed burn that turned into a raging wildfire and destroyed 23 homes along the edge of the Sierra. The homeowners say they suffered more than $80 million in damages in the fall blaze. They contend the government illegally took over their property and left it "valueless and virtually unusable."
