Reno Police continue searching for a suspect in a shooting just after 8:30 Friday night at Smithridge Drive and Filbert Road.... just south of Peckham Lane. Police were called to the area on reports of shots fired. They found a wounded man who later died. A second person with superficial, non-life threatening injuries was found a short distance away. Witnesses saw a dark passenger car drive away on Filbert Road immediately after the shooting. The gang unit is investigating the shooting. Police are asking anyone who may have information to call them or Secret Witness. Secret Witness is offering up to a $2,500 reward.
