The Sparks City Council has approved an agreement to provide up to $1.5 million to convert the Century 16 Movie Theatre in Victorian Square into a luxury theater operated by Galaxy. The theater company expects it to be open for business before the end of the year. Galaxy CEO Frank Rimkus says they look forward to having a second location.

Homeowners may be eligible for up to $200,000 to repair or replace real estate damage and up to $40,000 to replace personal property. Renters could get up to $40,000 to repair or replace personal property. Businesses may be eligible for property damages up to $2-million
